Dogs and Cats just make me happy
Pet care experience
I've had a pet of some kind for as long as I can remember. There were family cats while I was growing up, my friends' cats and dogs, my sister's dogs, my roommate's cats, and my own cat, who I had for 17 of his 18 years. He passed away this past June and I miss him terribly…but getting to visit other cats & dogs helps with the loneliness! I'm told I give the best doggie massages ever, too. My best friend's dog literally leads me to the couch whenever I visit and plops down for his special Aunt Nancy rubs.

Two of the cats got out of the area they were supposed to be in, and I think one of them missed a at least one feeding as evidenced by a full bowl of food left in the spot she usually eats and she was shut in the back area of the house where she isn’t supposed to be. The other cat was in one of the pictures she sent and I could see he was in the dining room when he should have been in the back and I messaged her that and she did put him back. I know it’s complicated with 5 cats but she said she had her notes and she could have messaged me with any questions. And she did get over $100 for just two feedings and all she had to do was set a bowl of food down, no litterbox duty or anything else. Also she took a picture of 2 of the cats, but the one I said it was really important to lay eyes on, I didn’t get a picture of.

When caring for pets in my clients' homes, I make sure to follow their instructions for routine, feeding, walks, etc. I understand that every pet is different and will always treat each one as an individual, never as "just another client". In my home, I follow the owner’s instructions for feeding and walks, and we’ll play and do whatever the pet is comfortable with. Sometimes they’re skittish in a new environment and won’t do their normal things — and that’s totally okay!

A typical day
I try to stimulate dogs both physically and mentally. We’ll play games, check out all the fun smells on our walk, explore parks, and watch the squirrels!
