Welcome to Rover! My name is Nancy, and with my husband, Ely, we have many years experience loving on our own animals and about two years experience as Rover sitters. Our 6-year old son also shares an affinity for furry friends. We also have a seven month old daughter. We are so excited to share our home and beautiful neighborhood with your pets! Our home has a fenced backyard, is in a quiet, friendly neighborhood, and has lots of space to roam and take lazy naps! I work from home full-time, which means I get the pleasure of being around your pet all day! They will never be alone. My husband, Ely is also home quite early most days, and we love going for afternoon walks which would be all the more enjoyable with your pup! We are non-smoking, and our home is very safe and as clean as you can expect with two young children of working parents. We only board one dog at a time (unless two dogs come from the same household) and look forward to meeting your child friendly pups!

Nancy and Ely took care of our Fiona for two nights. They sent great updates with photos- and she seemed well taken care of and happy at pick up.
Nancy & Ely's home was a perfect place for our beagle Gia while we were away! Gia had lots of fun with them and their adorable kids, and they shared pics every day. We were happy knowing she was safe in the warm environment of their home and large fenced backyard, where she could sniff to her heart's desire! Nancy and her family were amazing. Penny became a member of the family right away. I loved receiving pictures and messages about my girl often. I think Penny misses hanging out with the kids. I would definitely rebook with Nancy.

We have a fenced yard and bi-level home. If your pet is elderly we can keep them on one level. There are living spaces on both levels that our family constantly uses, so they would not be left alone. We are happy to continue your home practices in our home i.e. continue crate-trained habits. My family is also happy to bathe your pet if requested and are comfortable providing gentle care to a pet that may need medication or just gentler hands on their old bones.

I want your pet to be as comfortable as they can and feel safe and at home. Knowing their typical day-to-day routine, eating schedule, and sleeping arrangements will set us up for success! If there is something your pet doesn’t like, I want to know about those just as much as the things they love!
A typical day
We are a very laid back and relaxed household. We wake around 6 am and my husband goes to work until about 2 pm, and I’m working from home until 4:30. After work we like to play in the driveway, or walk the neighborhood. This is a very friendly street and there are a lot of families and dogs out and about! After dinner we hang downstairs with movies!

Availability
Being that I work from home full-time, I am available at all times for potty breaks, cuddling, and a game of tug-a-war. The house wakes up around 6 am each day. Ely, my husband, is home around 1 pm and after dinner we enjoy walking or playing in the driveway with our son. This would be a perfect time to get some outdoor play!
