4PawsDogResort - Home Full Time!
Pet care experience
We book up fairly quickly, so please check my calendar availability and read my entire profile before contacting me. My goal is to create a loving/fun vacation for your best friend as he/she becomes part of our family. All you do is pack enough food for their visit with us - plus medications, supplements and a regular leash. We do the rest; providing TLC, toys, fun outings, belly or butt scratches and companionship. If they are totally attached to their bed, bring that too, otherwise we have very comfy dog beds. Pricing is for a 24-hour period. If drop off/pick up times are different, there may be a price adjustment. A meet 'n greet is REQUIRED for each dog and every guest MUST be well-mannered and socialized. Treat dependent, high strung, high energy, hyper-active, alpha, excessive barkers or untrained dogs (who do not come, sit, stay or heel) will NOT be a good fit with us. It's too stressful for the other dogs AND humans when a dog isn't trained, misbehaves or is too loud or rowdy. Vaccinations are required. I will NOT watch contagious dogs. Dave, my husband, and I live in a ranch-style home in south Bellevue, close to/above the 405/I-90 interchange and 20 minutes away from the airport. We especially enjoy watching dogs with a mellow/calm demeanor that are between 25 and 60 pounds. We're open to larger sizes as long as they are; potty trained, well behaved (have GREAT recall, know sit, stay and HEEL), are not big barkers or rough when playing. Your dog will be a guest in OUR home and neighborhood and their behavior affects everyone; dogs and humans alike. We believe in quality over quantity, so there usually aren't more than three guests at a time, to ensure that everyone gets the attention they deserve. Once in awhile, there can be 'spillover' where we have an extra dog or two for 24-48 hours as vacations can overlap. Why I love dog sitting: I've been an animal lover forever and have enjoyed taking care of dogs all my adult life. Growing up, my family had cats, dogs, birds and rabbits. As an adult, I have trained my own dogs who each turned out to be spectacular canine citizens, if I do say so myself. :) Always drawn to animals, I supervised the front desk at a multi-doctor veterinarian hospital for several years after moving to the PNW. About our Pets: We share our lives with Skoshi, an adorable, red-headed, tri-colored, 3 3/4 year old corgi. About our yard: Our yard is 'fenced' with both iron railing and a 3-4', plastic coated wire and metal fencing, so it is only deterrent-type fencing. My experience administering medication: I'm fine giving pills.
Reviews
We are always thankful when Murray is in Nancy's care. A true home away from home!
You can always rest assured that your little fur baby will be in the greatest of hands. We’ve been using this wonderful couple to watch our little guy from everything from 2 week trips to just a day sit. Each time, we know that he is going to be loved even more so by this dynamic duo. They are truly a best kept secret, but we want everyone to know about them. Thank you Nancy and Dave!!!
Nancy watched my girl Ginger many times while we lived in Washington state. We are moving now and one thing I am sad about is missing her as our dog sitter. Ginger just loved staying with her and I always felt comfortable that she was happy and loved in Nancy’s care!
We are so thankful for Nancy! She has provided a "home away from home" for our dog, Murray for many years. He is beyond excited every time he arrives at her house!

Our yard is fenced and our corgi and the furry guests will help your dog feel part of the 'pack'. There will be a "4PawsDogResort" I.D. tag added to your dog's collar when your dog arrives.

Information Nancy E. would like to know about your pet
Does your dog heel? (Picture me simultaneously walking four dogs.) Does your dog come when called, heel, and know other basic commands? Where is he/she used to sleeping? Does your dog do well in the car? Are they up-to-date on vaccinations? Any allergies? Is it necessary for your dog to be kenneled if the humans leave the house? We have no breed preference. However, since they'll be staying in our home, we want to watch respectful, and well-mannered dogs. A well-behaved dog equals a fun, stress-free, enjoyable time for ALL of us! So, sorry NO exuberant puppies!
A typical day
If your dog is good at recall (coming when called), and with your permission and weather permitting, we'll usually go on some kind of fun, daily excursion - either to one of the local parks for chasing, fetching and swimming or on off-leash walks/hikes at the nearby neighborhood trails. Our philosophy is that a tired dog is a happy dog, so whatever we do, it's great exercise and the dogs always finish with long tongues and smiling faces. Your dog is welcome to sleep in a dog bed inside our bedroom, the family room or in a kennel. However, in order for US to sleep, we draw the line at any dogs sleeping ON our bed with us - even our own. We'll be together most of the time. There may be a few times a week where we have appointments/errands and may need to be away but only for a few hours (max) at a time.
