Pet care experience

Premise: my experience is mainly dog-related and I am unable to accept puppies. My family always had a dog when I was growing up, my first memory would be time with my dad’s Rottweiler, named Bullet. During my teenage years, we adopted a mixed race dog that my youngest sister named Barbie! They had different needs, be it attention, care, exercise or health, and very early on I have been taught to look after our furry companions as part of the family: respect them and their space too. More recently, I have helped a friend of mine look after her Shih-poo, Maya, who suffers from eczema and other allergies. My friend was clear with instructions and I have diligently provided the required care: baths with treated shampoo, administration of her ear medication and oral medication. Walkies and cuddles as demanded by the pup. I am a hybrid worker who spends 80% of her working time at home, during which I am very flexible and can give as much (or as little, depending on the pet’s comfort level) attention to pets. Walkies can be as often as they desire and/or require and I am extremely patient when it comes to dogs needing time to get cosy in certain environments. I am also well versed in noticing dogs’ behaviour and can remove them from spaces or situations of discomfort. I live in a semi detached, in a cul de sac, with a fenced garden. I have enough room in my living area for a crate or a dog’s bed. Trained dogs are welcome to sleep with me on the bed. I would prefer taking in one dog at a time in order to give them my full attention and care. Although if the same family owns more, I am more than happy to accommodate depending on temperament.

Nadja impressed us and put us at ease by asking to meet Cuilean before our booking was finalised. Cuilean was relaxed and seemed quite happy there. It’s a lovely home with a cosy dog friendly sofa and a safe enclosed garden. I’m glad we chose Nadja and hope she is available next time we need a sitter while we are down visiting friends and family.

Nadja took great care of my beagle Marley! He came home relaxed and always excited to get in the door in the morning. Nadja could not have been more helpful, flexible with pick up/drop off times and last minute bookings! Marley will definitely be coming again! Thanks Nadja!

My Dog Bertie was extremely well looked after. Very happy and relaxed when I picked him up. Nadja was great and would highly recommend her! I loved getting the photo updates through out the day, was lovely to see he was having soo much fun. I don't think he wanted to come home 😂

Information Nadja K. would like to know about your pet

It is important that I am aware of your pet’s health condition, as well as their temperament at home and outdoors, whether they are sociable with people, kids and other animals. I’d also appreciate knowing what routines they are used to: meal times, walk times, safe spaces, etc.

A typical day

Engage your dogs in diverse activities like daily walks, agility training, and interactive games to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. Puzzle toys, obedience training, and scent games are excellent for mental exercise. Regular exercise, socialising with other dogs, and varied activities contribute to their overall well-being and happiness.
