Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was a child. I’ve always owned 1-3 dogs at a time. My dogs have all lived long lives, one even living to age 17. I currently have 2 dogs, one is 14 years and one is 2 years and I am well versed in caring for senior pets(medications, diapers, etc). My younger pup had submissive urination that we have worked through too. So, I’m no stranger to unique issues or quirks that may arise when working with animals. My current pup and I have completed 3 structured training classes and she has earned her Canine Good Citizen certificate. We have also taken an agility course to help build her confidence. I have been a volunteer for the Iowa Service Dog Program for 3 years. I have also been working with 2 other trainers and I am part of a dog training club. Through this club I have met owners with the same training goals and a group of us have been meeting(with our pets) in pet friendly stores, parks & pet friendly patios to hone our pets training. I do love cats and have had many in my lifetime. The only reason I do not have cat(s) in my home now is because my husband is very allergic. I believe pets are family members and I personally treat mine like my children. You can feel confident that I will treat yours the same.

Nadine is the Best! She is everything you would want in a dog sitter! I felt 100% comfortable in leaving my Stella in her care. Nadine is the most caring person and so knowledgeable in pet care and training. She sent adorable pictures of Stella during her stay, and when we picked her up we could tell she had good time and had been loved and spoiled just like at home. Thanks Nadine, Ron, Reeva and Greta for loving Stella. 🐶❤️🐾

Nadine was the perfect choice for boarding our sensitive pup Meera. I’m super picky about who I leave Meera with because she can be temperamental (either super chill or super anxious), but Nadine handled her like a pro and will be my top choice when we return to the Iowa area. She updated us with pictures, and I’ve never seen Meera look so comfortable in someone else’s home before. Nadine was able to handle Meera’s medication schedule, noise phobias, and odd eating habits. I have no reservations about leaving Meera with Nadine again, highly recommend!

My drop-in’s provide care for your fur baby; letting them out to potty, or a quick walk, some love and attention, playtime, food, medication…. whatever you and your pets needs may be. Of course, I will also provide updates and photos! In-home boarding. Full boarding or day boarding. I will board one dog (prefer crate trained) in my home at a time. (I have made an exception and boarded “siblings”.) I am better able to provide individualized one-on-one care for your fur baby if I keep the numbers low. When I’ve committed to boarding your dog I do my best to stay home with them as much as I possibly can. (Limiting my time away from home.) This way I can provide extra attention, playtime, walks, pets, belly rubs, snuggle time, training and any other personalized care they may need. I do prefer crate trained, mainly for feeding time since I have 2 pups too, but that is not necessarily a deal breaker. I do have a questionnaire that I require be filled out so I can know your pet as well as possible. This aids in my providing the best care possible! I will be happy to provide updates and photos as much or as little as you’d like during their stay with me. They will go home with a report card telling you all about their stay. There is an additional fee for last minute requests for boarding or day boarding. You never have to worry when they are with me! 🐾

I’m big on positive reinforcement and interaction and want to make our time as pleasant for them as possible. Provide an email and I’ll send my questionnaire (helps me know you & your fur baby).
A typical day
I will interact in many ways; love on them, pet them, walk, feed, play, train and cuddle. You tell me what you and your pets wants and needs are and that’s what I’ll aim to do!

I’m currently working part-time during the school year (6:30- 9am M-Th). I am available 7 days a week. I can drop in several times a day. You tell me what your pets needs are and I will meet or exceed those needs.
