Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Mylinh and I’m a current 3rd year vet student at UIUC! In addition to taking care of my own dogs, cats, and pocket pets throughout my life, I have over 10 years of experience handling many species of animals! I volunteered at my local humane society for 3 years during high school, was a vet assistant for one year, and eventually became a veterinary technician for two years before entering vet school where I handled many species that ranged from young to senior with different temperaments and behaviors. During this past summer, I also worked at the UIUC emergency hospital where I learned how to triage patients and perform CPR. I also am well-trained in giving oral or injectable medications that your pets may need while you are away! My goal is to ease your mind and have your trust that your pets will be safe and happy!

Mylinh is absolutely incredible. My husband and I hired her to care for our cat and geriatric cockatiel during our honeymoon, a trip which took about 3 weeks. Mylinh was so professional and knowledgeable the entire time. She got along great with our pets and made sure she understood our pets' medical and dietary needs! Our cockatiel was at least 23 years old (a very old bird!!) and as such, his health was very unpredictable. He suffered a stroke earlier this year, and Mylinh was aware that he had some special needs. Unfortunately, his health began to decline during our trip. Mylinh was calm and collected as she communicated with us. She took the bird to the emergency hospital but despite her excellent care, he ended up passing away. She was so compassionate throughout the entire process. What could have been a crisis was handled very calmly and professionally. We will definitely be hiring her again if we ever need to go out of town! She is an absolute delight and we are so grateful for her
Mylinh was wonderful with our 80 pound Akita puppy. Our puppy would wait by the door for her every morning. I would highly recommend Mylinh!

My pets are my family. Although it is important to have some boundaries and set rules, my cats and dogs still lay on the couch, get all the snuggles that they want, and are spoiled with treats and toys! I also believe in enriching my pet’s lives. That means that my cats and dogs get to exhibit their natural behaviors in their everyday life. My cats get to go on my enclosed patio and get to chase after bugs and scratch at their cat tower and my dogs get to use food puzzles, dig, and sniff to their hearts content on walks!
