Hello! My name is Myka. I am currently offering drop in visits and walking services around North Raleigh and Durham. In the past, I was the dog sitter for my neighbor. She has about eight show poodles, two Australian Shepherds, some chickens, three cats, and some sheep. I have also house-sat for a family with two dogs (one lab and on Jack Russel terrier), four cats, and some chickens. My family has always fostered animals, and my mother works at a vet clinic so I have been around animals my whole life.

This was my first time using Rover. I booked Myka for a 3night stay and she did a fantastic job taking care of my two dogs. She is a very sweet young lady who obviously has a love for animals. My girls loved her too! Myka followed my list of instructions to a tee and my house was exactly the way I left it when I got home. I would highly recommend Myka and already referred 2 other friends to use her services. I had total piece of mind while I was on vacation and received daily updates on how things were going. Myka was awesome and I will definitely be booking her again whenever I travel!!!
I found Myka to be very responsible and trustworthy. I had no worries leaving her to take care of my dogs and house. I would definitely recommend her and will be using her again.
Myka is a nice young lady who is dependable and honest. She will take instructions well and follow them to the best of her ability. She has a big heart for animals and enjoys being around them. You can rest assured that she will well care for your pet.
Myka is an excellent pet sitter. We had her stay at the house with our two dogs and four cats. At one point she had to figure out how the Jack Russel was getting out of the yard. She hates fireworks! Myka captured my dog safely and returned her to our home. Thank you Myka for a job well done. We will certainly ask her again when we go out of town.

I do not have a breed preference, I previously owned a pit bull and have worked with many other breeds since, from toy poodles and mini yorkies to Rhodesian ridgebacks and huskies.
A typical day
My current favorite walk locations are Lake Lynn Park and William B Umstead State Park. There are a few dog parks in the area that I would love to take dog-friendly pets as well. I don’t mind wandering around with a dog and just following their curiosity—a encouraging their curiosity leads to a calm, satisfied dog!

Availability
I have a flexible hybrid role nearby and can easily work in drop in visits throughout the day. I don’t currently have a dog, so I love joining my friends for walks with their dogs or puppy play dates.
