I have personal and professional experience grooming, boarding and training dogs. Through my personal experience I have raised and trained 4 puppies and groomed my personal and family dogs. My professional experience includes employment as an assistant groomer/ boarding employee for 2 years. I have training in dog body language, positive training and group play. My passion for pets has led me to be an advocate for positive training. I believe that your pet is more than "just a dog". Your family member deserves personalized care to meet their physical and mental needs. Due to my experience I specialize in high energy breeds, dogs with anxiety, and young dogs.

My active Border Collie, Rascal, was well cared for and happy when staying with Mya and her two dogs. I will be using Mya in the future, and have no trouble leaving my fur baby in her kind and capable care.
Mya took excellent care of our dog. She met us at the dog park to ensure her dogs got along with ours. She also sent photos and updates that she was doing well while we were out of town. Daisy came back to us relaxed and energetic. er

All dogs will be evaluated to ensure they respond well to my 2 personal dogs. If they are a match balanced play will be encouraged throughout their stay. If they do not, accomodations will be made. All pets will be fed according to owners instructions and treats will only be provided with owner approval. Dogs will be crated while I am not home (less than 4 hours a day on average). I aim to not just watch a dog, but ensure their individual needs are met. Such as play, enrichment, and of course quality time.

I like to know your dog's general disposition, any behavioral issues I should be aware of, and what they enjoy doing. I enjoy hosting high energy dogs, which typically do not thrive in a commercial kennel. But am happy to host couch potatos too!
A typical day
Activities will depend on age and disposition of the dog. I typically offer fetch, enrichment toys such as a kong, and plenty of opportunities for balanced play with my personal dogs. For dogs who do not enjoy play I will offer short walks depending on physical ability.

I am currently a college student persuing my bachelor's in computer science through an online college. This degree is quite demanding so I have decided to presue Rover as an avenue to have flexible income during this chapter of my life.
