*MY EXPERIENCE* I've always been that person who hears "wow, they never like anyone" while their dog or cat sits in my lap! Growing up with my beloved Jenny for 14 years, I have gained invaluable experience in post-injury rehabilitation, senior care, and the emotional challenges of saying goodbye to a beloved companion. Then, raising Bilbo and Heidi with distinct individual needs has provided me with a deep understanding of adaptation and the inevitable messes that come with pet ownership. After movie to Erie, I shared responsibility for my roommate’s former-streetcat, Kritter, whom I instantly fell in love with. Through these experiences, I have honed my skills in clean-up, dietary accommodations, play adaptation, and providing the necessary care for dogs of various ages and conditions. As someone who deeply misses my own dogs, who currently reside with my parents back in Hershey, caring for you pets would be an excellent opportunity to fill this void and direct all the love I have to give to them. I look forward to devoting my time to brighten both their day and my own, and show you that they are in good hands

Outstanding sitter! Elanora was so caring and attentive to my pets! (Two cats (young Elsa, oldish Sophie) and my dog, Emily). Her love for animals was abundantly clear, and her experience with her own pets was really helpful. She had good insights on cat behavior (Elsa is new here and Sophie is not pleased!), and she was proactive with Emily's 'ear flapping' (Emily is prone to infections) and used ear wipes and ear wash to offer relief to her. Elanora is a great communicator, often sharing info on how the weekend was going, sending photos and videos, and asking any questions as needed. I'm so grateful for her help and I highly recommend her!

My interest in and familiarity with basic animal psychology and behavior enables me to identify and address common issues such as separation anxiety, fear aggression, and the importance of positive reinforcement. If any of these are a concern, I would love to talk about how we can make things easier for your furry loved ones. I have always felt in tune with animals, because I’ve found that each one wears their heart on their sleeve and can be easily understood if given the time, attention, and consideration they deserve. There is always a thought or emotion that drives them, and you can often learn what those are once you figure out their patterns of reactions and motives.

*PREPARATION* I hope you will see by my notebook pictures that I do take great care to ensure I am prepared for your pets. I come to Meet&Greets with questions I would like to be knowledgeable of, then categorize your answers when I get home so that I can create an easy reference during my visit or stay. I would appreciate if a list of general information for both your pets and house preferences could be prepared for our meet and greet, provided there is enough time; otherwise, if it could be left on a table or sent to me. I like to come prepared with questions to minimize any unturned stones during my stay, and having information prepared can help us focus on the more nuanced stuff. In addition to their routine, some suggestions to include: - Any individual pet peeves or emotional triggers I can be mindful of - History of injuries and physical needs so they are cared for to their abilities and the walking pace adapted to them - Habits or oopses to look out for, such as escape opportunists and accident-prone puppies or seniors Please feel free to let me know your expectations for updates, otherwise I may end up sending you photos every time someone a good boy/girl!
A typical day
*THEIR DAY WITH ME * I like to learn your pets' typical routine so I can mimic it as much as possible. It's well-noted that routine can be a source of comfort for animals, and I want to minimize any potential distress from unexpected changes while you are away. Some things that would be helpful for me to know: - When they eat - Their walking schedule and any favorite routes - If they get let out in a yard or like to be sat with outside as they sunbathe - Any favorite toys and games, especially if rainy days limit outside playtime - If they can be left alone and for how long

*OUR SCHEDULES* While Rover gives us the option to check if we offer mornings, afternoons, and evenings in general, the platform doesn't let us update those for individual days. *Walks & Drop-Ins* Because the times of day I am busy on Saturdays can be often unpredictable, I err on the side of caution and do not offer walks and drop-ins those days. If you decide to reach out, I will work with you to find how I can best accommodate your needs and be honest about whether I can meet them. *Sittings* For sittings, I accommodate your instructions on whether your pets can be left alone and, if so, for how long. Depending on their needs and yours, I am more than happy to have them be the focus of my enjoyment in lieu of my other recreational activities. If the stays are significantly longer, we can figure something out
