Pet care experience
**I’m not accepting new clients at this time. I open my books to new clients 1-2 times a year on an ad hoc basis.** Hi! I’m MP and I love cats and dogs of all kinds. I’m originally from Wisconsin, but spent 6 years in San Francisco, CA, and now I’m back in cheese country! Cats: I grew up with cats, but while living in California I regularly volunteered at the SF SPCA as a matchmaker and cat socializer. I was trained in working with all kinds of cat personalities— from undersocialized kittens to grumpy senior cats, and everything in between. I also have 2 cats of my own, who I adopted from the SF SPCA: Lava & Coconut. They moved to Wisconsin with me and are living their best lives. 😻 Dogs: At my tech job in San Francisco, I helped pioneer a dog-friendly policy at our downtown office. This involved getting to know the dog owners of the office, as well as their pups, and advocating for their wants/needs. Eventually, I helped create a building and company dog policy that actually helped shape some of the company culture. I would often desk-sit for dog owner colleagues and loved getting to know all the dog personalities at the office. Now, living in Wisconsin, I regularly watch and walk dogs for friends/Rover clients. 🐶

MP is awesome! She is so attentive to our dog, Fritz, and we never have to worry about him while we are gone.
MP did an amazing job taking care of our kitties and house sitting! What stood out first was how thoughtful she was. She scheduled a meet and greet so she could meet our kitties and had a long list of questions that covered everything on their daily routines, from medications to food, to treats, toys, personalities, etc. She also made sure to ask if there was anything she could help with while house sitting like picking up mail, watering plants, etc. She kept us updated at all times and sent us daily pictures. In addition, she did a great job handling the (kind of complicated) medication routine for one of our cats. Our kitties had a lot of play time while we were away and most importantly, they were very relaxed when we got home, which has not always been the case when we travel. MP was responsive, responsible, and reliable, and we are really glad we found her!
MP is a delight to have look after our dog! She spends plenty of time playing, cuddling and doing everything she can to make the time away as pleasant as possible. Our dog Trixie got plenty of walks and was in the best of moods when we returned. Adding frosting on top of the cake, MP doesn't leave a trace in our house - if it wasn't for cameras we may never know she is there! She treats our house with the utmost care and consideration and would be an easy pick for the future.
MP is the best! Our dog Remi seems very well taken care of when we got home.

I prefer and appreciate when clients leave notes & instructions, so that I can make sure expectations for animal & home care are met. Note: Though I have two cats at home, they always stay at home and don’t come with me to Rover houses. They’re happy and content staying at home.

For any new clients, I prefer to do a meet-and-greet just to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone. That said, if you need a drop-in in a pinch I’m happy to help if it works in my schedule. Just let me know if there are any special instructions I need to be aware of.

Interacting with dogs and cats is super enjoyable for me! I’ll take your instructions to heart and ensure I keep you updated on how things are going during my visit. You’ll definitely receive regular snapshots and videos of your furry family member as well!

Availability
On weekdays I work in an office in Fitchburg and have some flexibility mid day to fit Rovers in. On weekends I’m generally around, too.
