I grew up in a family with dogs. From 2020 to 2023, I volunteered with a humane society and fostered three dogs. Our last foster dog, Roo, was with us until she was ready to leave earth after battling kidney disease. The love I had for her is unmatched and caring for other dogs feels like I’m honoring her legacy of love in a very special way

Moriah was totally amazing! This was our first time to hire someone to keep our dogs and she far exceeded our expectations! Her communication was wonderful and she was so kind! I felt very at ease that I left my fur babies in her care! I will 100% use her from here on out!
Thor can be a handful since he is a rescue, but Moriah was willing to get to know him and it went great! Thor honestly didn’t seem stressed at all and didn’t mind hanging out for a little while!
Moriah volunteered for my non-profit rescue for 2-3 years and fostered/took in a couple of dogs that had some quirks and handled them like a champ. She was willing to follow instructions we outlined for those dogs and made them feel at home for the long periods of time they were with her. I would encourage anyone hiring a dog-sitter to ask a lot of questions, get to know the sitter and make sure you trust them and their environment. Do you own background checks....and Moriah I am sure will check every box! She's great!

I have 10+ years of Customer Service, so I prioritize treating my clients and their fur babies with hospitality and respect. My husband will also be present for most services and has house sat for family dogs all over Amarillo for 3+ years. After taking care of three foster dogs, I have years of experience in giving dogs the time and space to adjust to a new environment. My husband and I have a decent sized fenced in yard. We do not let animals on the furniture, but I always want to make sure the dogs are comfortable and am happy to set out any beds, palettes, blankets, or crates they feel comfortable on/in. I am very familiar with crating dogs and prefer a crated dog at our house. We also have a guest room for your dog’s crate.

Please let me know your dog’s people and dog preferences. Do they like other animals or a particular kind or size? Are they a flight risk when opening the front door or cracks in the fence? Are they aggressive with Black men (my husband is Black)? Are they motivated by food or toys? Are they slow to warm or friendly to all?
A typical day
If they’re socialized, I love to give your dog the chance to meet new playmates at the dog park or go on a walk with my friendly husky “niece”. If they’re not social, long walks at the park are a great time for fresh air and sniffing. Our yard is big enough for a came off fetch or chase too!

I work from home Mondays and Fridays, and am typically home on the weekends. I am able to take flexible breaks during the work day.
