Pet care experience
growing up i remember always being interested in animals. i was the kid with all kinds of pets and constantly pressured my mom to let me get just one more! in my lifetime i’ve cared for hamsters, frogs, various species of fish, turtles, parakeets and cockatoos. i’ve fostered two dogs, several cats and have been a parent to one dog of my own named quelso whom i co-parent with my ex husband. i have senior dog care experience, puppy care experience, and i can administer oral or topical medication.

Moriah took great care of our dog while we were gone for about a week and a half! We are newer to the area and were nervous about finding a good dog sitter here but Moriah was completely trustworthy, kind, competent, and took wonderful care of our dog and our house. She provided updates with photos and videos pretty much every day, which was so nice. I would definitely book a sitting with her again and would recommend Moriah to others looking for a reliable sitter!
Moriah was very communicative and professional! She did an amazing job with my blind guy, Gus, on their first walk.
Moriah has been super helpful. I appreciate her letting me know when she is coming and going along with pictures or videos of Ruby. Already a repeat client!

in my home there is plenty of space, toys & treats for my furry guests. they are more than welcome to spend time on the sofa and in my bed. that being said i prefer to house pets that are reasonably well-groomed or that won’t mind bath time. i provide three walks per day, 30 minutes each and plenty of affection especially for pups that struggle with separation anxiety. i have space for a crate as well if that is necessary for the stay. i would suggest bringing items your dog is familiar with like blankets, small dog beds, favorite toys & treats. when i stay at your home i care for your pets as if i were in your shoes to the best of my ability.

let me know if your dog has any special requirements in order to make their stay optimal. i live in an apartment & although most of the tenants here have doggies i am unwilling to keep a HOWLER or consistent BARKER especially since i do not work from home and many of my neighbors do. the walls are thin and my place echoes.
A typical day
well i’m a pro belly rubber, fantastic cuddler & have been told i’m patient & have a soothing voice. animals seem to like my vibe for the most part and i enjoy spending time with their different personalities; it’s exciting and sometimes challenging but overall very rewarding. im kind of always on the move & i find that dogs really like going on adventures with me. i like to rise at 4am and by 530 walk my pup for 15-30 minutes and then ill feed him breakfast . from there head to work for 3-4 hours. sometimes i go home for lunch to walk my pup for a quick 10-15 minutes (small meal for quelso) and then back to work. once i finish my shift i have space for whatever my priorities are at that time. dinner is served between 5-6pm. afterwards we take our 30 minute walk to wherever his little heart desires. i go to bed pretty early; i prefer to be in bed by 8pm and sleep by 830pm.

i am currently working full time as a barista at a local café in mount vernon four days a week. typically my shifts are from 6-12pm. the hours at my café range from 630-4pm to give you an idea for possible wiggle room. my scheduling is posted every friday and im flexible in regards to what days i need to work if given a proper heads up. let’s talk about it:)
