I've been around pets of all kinds my entire life. I'm comfortable around dogs of every shape and size! (I actually have experience with caring for most domestic animals & livestock, because I own my own legitimate business, Pawsome Pet Care!) Throughout my life I've had 3 dogs, along with chickens, hamsters, geckos, turtles, birds, fish, and even a few hermit crabs throughout the years. Currently, however, I'm momma to 2 fur babies, a 6 year-old Queensland Heeler/German Shepherd, and a 5 year-old thoroughbred Chihuahua. We unfortunately laid our dearest Lab/Retriever mix to rest last year, and I had a fourth dog, if you counted my neighbors precious Rottweiler, that spent almost all day, every day in my yard with my dogs until she recently passed too. I gave her all the pets and ear scratches, even a good brushing every few weeks--and she wasn't even my dog. I just love animals. They deserve the world. I am totally comfortable caring for young puppies or old doggies & taking them on walks, playing together for long times (or short times if they tire easily), adhering to any strict dietary needs, giving topical/oral medications AND injections, and cleaning up after the animals (no matter what "kinds" of messes they make!). I also have experience with epileptic dogs, blind dogs, deaf dogs, arthritic dogs, post-surgery care, and those beloved, wobbly pups missing a leg. I've even cared for the sweetest blind, diabetic pooch I'd ever met! I am a full-time college student, manage a year-round nonprofit fundraising organization for the American Cancer Society, and also work doing livestock and in-home pet care with another local company...when I'm not working my own Pawsome Pet Care business commitments. I am very flexible, easy-going, and will happily work for you as long as there are no conflicts in scheduling!
