Pet care experience
Howdy- thanks for considering me to take care of your pet! As a dog-mom to a sassy 7 year old pup, I know how important it is to feel secure when booking with a care-taker. I personally use Rover for my dog, Lark, when we're traveling and she cannot attend some of the events. When I'm home, I'm working as a remote Special Education Teacher. My "9-5" is very flexible, so having another pet in the home is enjoyable for both my dog and me! My Home- I live in a studio right on Town Lake. I'm on the first floor, so I have a patio right along the trail. It's a fun spot to people watch and get lots of pets from the people who are passing. If I'm in a class with my 7th grade students, they will request to see the dog I'm watching :) For playtime, there's an open-area dog park in my complex, access to the riverwalk/trail, and a short half-mile walk to a fenced dog park. Pups will get a lot of interactions and exercise as needed. If your dog is a lounger, there's plenty of room for that too! Dogs are allowed on the couch/bed. My Dog- Lark is a pretty laid-back dog. She likes to do her own thing when other dogs are around, but will play with them once the other dog initiates. She is flexible with her energy. If there's a dog visiting that loves to play and go on long walks or a dog that likes to sleep most of the day, Lark will generally match that energy. I adopted her when she was 2, and she goes almost everywhere with me. She's been to 12 National Parks and worked at my last teaching placement as a therapy dog for high school students with emotional/ behavioral needs. She's since "retired" from working with kiddos. If I walk your dog a few times and they are dog-friendly, I might ask you if Lark can join in on our walks. PS Lark's first love in life are cats. While cats might not be fond of her, she loves them. I always assume that her previous owners had cats. If your cat is dog friendly, they are more than welcome to stay here! Experience- I've had dogs my entire life, big and small. While in my "adult life," I've owned a senior Chihuahua and Cattle-Dog mix, I grew up with bigger dogs such as a German Shepard, Boxer, and Australian Shepards. I love having a dog as a companion and understand how important people's pets are to them. I'm usually the go-to dog sitter for my friends and family! I want you to feel comfortable with having me around your dog, so please feel free to ask me any questions that will make you feel more comfortable when considering me. In addition to my love of dogs, I have also grown up with cats! I haven't owned a cat since I was younger, but many of my past roommates have had one living in the home with us.

I live in a studio apartment on the first floor. It backs up to the trail, so there is a lot of foot traffic. Some dogs love to sit outside and people watch/sunbathe, but those who are reactive are more than welcome to stay inside with the black-out curtains, so they don't get triggered. I have AC and heating within the apartment.

Information Morgan S. would like to know about your pet
- Walks: Does your dog get along with other dogs and/or people? Are there any tips/tricks you have while walking your dog? - Drop-Ins: What would your animal require during a drop-in visit? (ie. change water, feed, play, etc.) - Boarding/Doggy Daycare: Does your dog get along with other dogs? Is your dog potty trained? What is your dog's feeding schedule? **I have a 20lb dog in the home - House Sitting: What would you like me to do while house sitting? (ie. feed, change litter box, water plants, walk dogs, etc.)
A typical day
I live right on the lake with direct access to the walking trail, so I can take your dog on walks of whatever length. If you're comfortable with outings and depending on the weather, I enjoy taking my dog on some of the trails at Barton or Hill of Life.
