Snow or shine, let's walk and play!

Pet care experience

I've been loving and caring for dogs since I was a toddler (I received a 3 year old Dachshund on my 3rd birthday.. my brilliant parents). Instantly, I fell in love and was fortunate to enjoy 20 years of love, cuddles, and adventures. Since then, I've had the pleasure of owning a German Shepherd/Collie mix, American pit bull terrier, border collie, and Labraderp. I couldn't imagine my life now without my Shih-Poos! Big, medium, or small, I love them all <3 I'm currently PetCare CPR/First Aid certified (canines and felines) and have experience administering meds, gentle bathing, working with recovering/senior pups (utilizing mobility aids), monitoring females in heat. A few favorite things my dogs and I enjoy include: hiking the Ice Age Trail and surrounding parks, making whole-food pup treats, lick mat activity time, tons of cuddles.

Yep, my fur babies are spoiled. They love my homemade dog chow and whole-food treats. You can bet they sleep in our bed with extra fuzzy blankets. They are kings of their fenced-in yard, and we carve snowblow paths for their "zoomies" in the winter. Pretty sure I counted 28 visible toys; it's a problem. Dogs are comfortable in their own familiar space, which is where I'll go the extra mile to make sure your pup is comfortable. At your home, I'm happy to play, stay, or walk. I can usually accommodate a unique scheduling concern/ need, don't hesitate to reach out and ask!

Information Morgan S. would like to know about your pet

I'm open to all breeds and will conduct a brief intake with all new clients to get the full scoop' on your pupper(s). Basic info I'd like to know includes a review of their typical schedule (eat, sleep, treats, potty breaks). I'm also interested in understanding any medical concerns, diet restrictions, interactions with other dogs/humans, and current walking etiquette.

A typical day

Just like humans, dogs thrive with a good balance of activities. I'll help your pup stay physically active by enjoying long, sniff-tastic walks in the neighborhood. Depending on the dog, we may maximize enjoyment by taking in all the sniffs; alternatively, we'll crank it up a notch and speed walk it out. My go-to hiking place (and hopefully your pup's future fave spot, too) is Woodland Park - but the Capital Springs Rec area near the Ice Age Trail is pretty fabulous as well! We can walk in all seasons, assuming conditions are safe. If we're limited to indoors, we may play some engagement games with your favorite toy or a towel/treats. I'm happy to work on/support any habits, tricks, or commands you're currently practicing or honoring. :)
