I have always loved pets and loved taking care of them. I am now a junior in college, majoring in biology in hopes of taking care of animals. I enjoy even the most mundane parts of caring for animals, such as feeding them, taking them on walks, or even picking up poop (I know, it’s weird!); being able to play and cuddle with them is a perk!

I love to greet the dog by petting them as I walk in the door. After that I let them outside because they will most likely have to go. Once they’re done I check to see if they are running low on food or water and if they made a mess in the house. If they did I clean it up and then play/cuddle with the pet, whatever they’re most comfortable with.

It is good for me to know about medications and when they typically get them. Along with that I like to know their eating schedule so they don’t have to change that while you’re away.
A typical day
I love to play with dogs whether it be tug-of-war or fetch. Along with that I am a patient walker, allowing the dogs to sniff and get to know their surroundings. I typically like to walk around the neighborhood but am willing to go somewhere that the dog is comfortable.
