Your Furbaby’s New Best Friend!

Pet care experience

Hi there, I’m Morgan! I grew up with 3 dogs: 1 collie, 1 golden retriever, and 1 shih tzu. Growing up, I did most of the playing and walking. After they passed, my family didn’t want pets anymore. In the mean time, I spent lots of time with friends’ pets. I’ve walked, fed, bathed, and entertained their dogs and cats. It was more for fun than anything at the time. Once the pandemic hit, I knew I wanted my own fur baby. I felt prepared after being around dogs and cats growing up. However, I decided to get a pet rabbit instead. Rabbits are really a hybrid between dogs and cats. They are very intelligent and playful like dogs, but also enjoy their space and personal time like a cat. They are very fragile animals, so I’ve learned a lot about how to care for their hygienic needs, dietary needs, and just their overall well-being. Having rabbits has taught me way more about caring for animals than I would’ve thought. Since they are such sensitive beings, I have become hyper aware of animal behavior and communication. You can trust that I would give your pet the same amount of attention as I give my babies!

Morgan walked our dog, Lily (golden retriever), once a day for 13 visits while my husband and I were on vacation internationally. We had left Lily with an older family member (mother-in-law) who wouldn't have been able to walk her everyday which prompted us to look for a walker. From the very beginning, Morgan was very responsive, understanding, and adaptable. Before we even met Morgan, she exuded a bubbly, mature, and responsible nature that was evident when we met her in person. Lily warmed up to her immediately and was instantly comfortable with her. Morgan was very communicative with both me and my mother-in-law to accommodate any schedule changes, feedback regarding the walks, and even with preventing unwanted behavior with Lily. Morgan was always on time, took her time with walking and playing with Lily, and found creative ways to enrich the walks (ex: finding new sniffing spots, doing some training, running laps). We loved getting all the amazing pictures (!!) that Morgan sent to us after each walk and her Rover Card summaries were always prompt and informative. Morgan was such a pleasure to work with and we would not hesitate in booking her again!!

Morgan is a fabulous pet sitter! She is very attentive to each pet’s specific needs and likes. Our fur babies were the calmest they have ever been in her care, which is saying a lot. She is great at sending cute photos too. Thanks so much ?

Since I have two bunnies, I’m unable to have other animals in my own home since they are prey! However, I think it is far more beneficial to your pets to be in the comfort of their own homes anyway. Switching up too much for them can cause a lot of anxiety. I want to keep as much normalcy in their routine as possible! Also, I take pride in my photography skills. So, I’ll send you great photos of your fur babies while you’re away!

Information Morgan L. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your pet is sensitive to any sounds, scents, or words. Really anything that can be triggering for them. I wouldn’t want to disrupt their peace if it can be avoided! Also, any command words or release words. This can help insure the longevity of their training! Please feel free to let me know any small detail as well that you would deem important! Even if it’s where they like/don’t like to be pet! The more info the better to make your fur baby the most comfortable!

A typical day

It’s important stimulate your pet physically and mentally. I love taking dogs on walks or to the park to get in some physical stimulation. I also love providing enrichment toys to stimulate their minds. To ease their minds, I enjoy putting on some music or sensory videos for animals. You’ll be amazed how much they like this!

I work from home Monday through Friday, and I have a very flexible position where I can entertain and care for animals throughout my day. Even if pets can stay home alone for 8+ hours, providing company can really benefit them.
