Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Morgan! I’m a 23 year old Law student currently living in Cardiff. I have been passionate about working with dogs for over 6 years now and spent every moment away from my studies with dogs! I specialise in training (behavioural, trick and agility) and have done so with a range of dogs. My current project is working with Cardiff Dogs Home where I volunteer to walk their rescue dogs and spend time training with them, to make them more adoptable. Whilst I don’t own a dog myself (due to being a student and my mother’s severe dog allergy) I have cared for countless dogs of all shapes and sizes. In particular I have walked, trained and cared for a pair of energetic Dalmatians for over 4 years now. I have worked with their owners to walk on their loose lead walking, recall and general happiness… and provided many cuddles and hugs along the way! Furthermore, I have a close bond with my boyfriend’s Hungarian Vizsla, Lola, who I have trained from a puppy to an advanced obedience level. She also takes part in agility training which is great for a dog’s mental and physical health! She is featured a lot on the photos I have provided just due to my background training her! I have genuinely never met a dog I didn’t love, no matter how crazy, nervous or misunderstood some can be! My motto is ‘there are never bad dogs, only owners who need help’. I treat every dog I look after with compassion, love and respect; the same way I would expect someone else to take care of a dog I owned. I also really love connecting with different owners and learning about their dogs little quirks and what makes them…them!
Reviews
Morgan looked after our 2 dogs and 2 cats for 2 nights. She was very professional at all times and clearly understood animals. One of our dogs and one cat are both nervous of people they don't know, but they warmed to her quickly. We came home to 4 pets who seemed like they hadn't even noticed we'd been away!
Morgan was absolutely fantastic! She is caring, knowledgeable and professional. Our pup is full of energy, but Morgan knew exactly how to handle her. The meet and greets put us at ease, and it was lovely to see how they were getting on throughout the stay with the updates Morgan provided. Ezri loved Morgan and was so calm when we came home. Morgan had also taught Ezri a few new tricks which was amazing! Cannot recommend Morgan enough and we hope to see her again soon!
Morgan was fantastic and took such of good care of Cali. She updated me throughout the day which was a big relief. So lovely and Cali loved her as well.
Once again, Morgan was great with Bonnie. She knows exactly what this Collie needs (i.e. the importance of working her brain, not just walks), and Bonnie seems really relaxed with her. A fave sitter of ours for sure!

Safety, trust & environment
I am very big on safety when it comes to dogs in my care- no matter what service I am providing. I understand dogs and owners alike want to have off lead freedom, and I do provide this once the dog has shown to be responsive in a range of environments. If there is any doubt of a dog running off, I do use a long line (a very long lead of 15meters or more) to provide this freedom whilst keeping the dog safe! I always carry a spare slip lead when with someone’s dog which is essential in a rare case of a collar or harness snapping. A slip lead prevents a dog from being able to slip out accidentally and get loose which could lead to a scary situation! Having trust from an owner is of upmost importance to me, and so I will happily discuss any concerns or questions they will have for me when I am handling or looking after their dog!
Information Morgan L. would like to know about your pet
If your dog has any specific requirements (is reactive to other dogs, is nervous, needs to be muzzled, resource guards) then please do not hesitate to message me about it so we can work with a routine that will suit you and your dog. At the end of the day, I just want your dog to be happy and healthy when under my care! :)
A typical day
I’m a big believer in mental, as well as physical stimulation, for your dog. I love using scent work to get your dog working its brain. Sniffing is really effective at tiring out and calming down an overly excited dog - did you know that 15 minutes of scent work is equivalent to an hour walk! Trick training and/or obedience is another great source of mental stimulation. If you are wanting to work on specific tricks or commands I am more than happy to help out with your dogs training. Dogs love to please, so by using a good motivation source (food/toys etc) and positive reinforcement, tricks and training are a great way to enrich their life and strengthen the bond with your dog. Of course, physical exercise is not to be overlooked! I love a good long walk with the dogs I look after. I am always keen to discover new trails and paths to take dogs to and welcome any recommendations from owners! I do have my own car and if given permission by the owner, will happily take your dog to further away destinations if you so wish! I have a seat protector and dog seatbelt in order to keep your dog safe in my car, and comply with the U.K. legal regulations.
