Certified trainer, 10yrs experience

Pet care experience

I am currently earning my Masters degree in Behavior Analysis with a concentration on animal behavior at the University of North Texas. Over the last several years I have gained a multitude of experience working with animals, mostly dogs. Some of my experiences include two years as the Staff Manager and Animal Behavior Coordinator at a dog daycare/boarding facility, two years as a Behavior Assessment Intern at a county dog shelter, the completion of the Dog Trainer Program with the Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training and Behavior, and three years working as a veterinary technician. Personally, I have a 10 year old GSD mix named Jerry and a two year old Pit Bull named Jase. Caring for dogs is my passion and something that I intend to do for the rest of my life. Having a "difficult" dog of my own, I know the importance of finding the right person to care for your pet while you are away. I look forward to caring for your pets and treating them as if they were my own.

Morgan has a special gift for working with dogs. Her extensive knowledge of animal behavior allows her to develop the right blend of nurturing and corrective actions that result in the desired dog behavior. She has a great track record of succes in all of her interactions with dogs. But, best of all, she turly loves being with dogs. And that love is reflected in the care she provides the dogs that she is entrusted with. It doesn't matter if she is caring for an individual dog in a private home or looking after 20-25 dogs in a day care setting - all of the dogs she interacts with benefit from her attention. I highly recommend Morgan as a companion for your dog. You will be extremely pleased with the peace of mind she provides. Thank you.

Morgan exudes compassion for animals. Her unbelievable patience is deeply rooted in her genuine desire to improve (and maintain) the welfare of animals. I have known Morgan since before she adopted her forever friend, Jerry. While she has always wanted to work with animals, I believe that Jerry, with his social awkwardness and fear aggression, is her inspiration for studying the behavior of animals. In the 7+ years that she has had Jerry, the only time she has ever been away from him for longer than a day was when she was an intern at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary for a summer. Each day's new experiences seem to heighten her curiosity and drive her pursuit for knowledge. Jerry has even been the subject of Morgan's grad school research. Morgan has transformed a frightened and confused pup into an obedient, loyal, confident dog who loves to snuggle. I hear that he has been doing even better since she moved to Texas this summer.

If there was one person who I wanted to watch my dog, it would be Morgan. I've never seen someone so compassionate with dogs, whether her own or one at a shelter or another family member's. Her own dog is a shelter rescue with behavior issues and she has continuously tried to train him and make him more sociable and friendly. She has spent many hours in training courses and studied the best techniques for handling dogs and I would certainly trust her to take care of my dog if I had to be away for any period of time.
