I've had dogs all of my life. I most recently had a dog named Sadie. Unfortunately she was hit by a car and passed away in October of 2022. She was a 2 year old Australian Shepherd/Lab mix. I had her since she was 6 months old. My family and I trained her to sit, stay, lay down, come, fetch toys, return toys, kennel up, sit and watch, shake, high five, heel, and "potty walk." I have volunteered at an animal shelter in Easton, IL multiple times in the past, called Pets Without Parents. There I would play with the cats, clean their rooms, and refill their food and water. As for the dogs, I would walk them, play with them, brush them and occasionally feed them (they were usually fed after volunteer hours). I have also had cats since I was a baby, and am familiar with all aspects regarding their care. Currently though I don't have any cats as they have all passed away. For the past 3 years, I also did housekeeping for an elderly couple and took care of their cat. I have experience taking care of young kittens as well as puppies. In the past, I have also taken care of a homeless dog. A friend had moved and was unable to take the dog with-she was left behind at their house. I was given permission to take care of her and rehome her. I found her a home with some friends of mine, where they spoiled her until she passed away. Note: I am allergic to pollen and dust, which causes me to be allergic to cats. I do however, take medicine for it and still love being around them!! I also in the past year have watched an adorable male cat named Myles while his owner was gone for a few days! Additionally, I stay at a repeat client's house for 7-10 days at a time and watch her 4 dogs, cat and 2 bearded dragons. References available for these experiences upon request. My availability varies depending on my classes and work schedules; message me to figure something out! I am open to discuss earlier/later hours or overnight stay/check-ins on your pet! I will take care of your pet(s) per your instruction. If they need fed 2 scoops of Purina Puppy Chow at 9 am and 5 pm, I've got it. If they just need a scoop in their bowl for the day, or 1/4 scoops throughout the day, I've got that too! Whatever your pets' needs are, I can work with it! I will make sure they have fresh water often, as well as get walked/played with regularly per your instructions. If you need me to work with them on sit and stay, or whatever the command may be, I can do that too! **If your dog is easily triggered by certain things, I MUST know ahead of time for my safety.
