I have been told that I have a sixth sense when it comes to animals. I bring 15+ years of experience in providing attentive, compassionate, and playful care for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and hedgehogs. If you have another type of critter, I'm happy to learn how to care for them too. You can relax knowing your beloved companion(s) are in good hands while you're away. My services: I provide the following services in Fairfield and surrounding communities (up to 15 minutes away via bicycle): - morning, lunchtime, and evening visits and walks - medication and injection administration - running for dogs who meet certain prerequisites. About me: I am a late-twenties, Victoria transplant who is passionate about community building, trail running, environmental stewardship, and psychology. I am responsible, reliable, friendly, and honest. I have been lucky enough to have the companionship of family pets (dogs, cats, a chinchilla, a guinea pig, and a hedgehog) while growing up. I played an active role in caring for all of these animals, including my cat who required insulin injections twice a day. Over the past 15 years, I have also provided pet care (drop in visits, house sitting, dog walking) for family, friends, and professionally. I have cared for senior dogs and cats and am comfortable administering medication. I work well with animals who are shy or timid and need patience and kindness to build trust with a human. I currently have a 3.5 year old rabbit named Jones who happily free roams my apartment, and I have fostered two other rabbits. Jones has had chronic ear issues since he was a baby and is susceptible to GI stasis. Through caring for him, I have experience and confidence administering medication, and identifying and managing G.I stasis.
