Pet care experience

Since I was 10 years old, I’ve cared for animals in many different scenarios! A few of these include dogs, cats, a bearded dragon, rabbits, and fish. I’ve tended to, and still tend to, animals with weak stomachs. Therefore, I’m accustomed to cleaning up messes, soothing a bad belly, and giving medication if necessary. I have at least 8 years of experience with a dog that has anxiety and an unstable temper. I’ve learned to attentively watch and work to keep others safe and give my animal a joyful life. I’m open to all kinds of pet personalities and breeds. I will fully commit to taking care of your furry friend with as much fondness and adoration I do my own!

Montanna was amazing with my two dogs! One of mine gets anxious and she was fantastic with him and he was a happy boy when I got home :)

Montanna did a great job of watching my two dogs and two cats for a week. Daily information and pictures of all of the critters. It was great having Montanna stay and watch my pets and not have to worry about them. I highly recommend using her to house and pet sit if you need one.

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s health, safety, and happiness are my top priority! I will listen and take notes of a client’s feeding, walking, and personal schedules/needs. If the pet parent doesn’t have a specific schedule to follow, I get up around 8am to feed, let out, or clean litters of the animal. I spend some time cuddling and giving them attention. If I’m at a client’s house on a class morning, I make sure the pets have water, food, and have just been able to use the bathroom before I leave. I come back to check on them immediately after my class, letting them out, feeding, water check, giving attention, and other necessities. Your animal is an important part of your family! I want you to feel safe and secure with the knowledge that they’re being loved and well taken care of in your absence.

Information Montanna B. would like to know about your pet

If your pet has special needs, medications, or any other unique requirements, please let me know at least a day before! I will record these requirements, and we can go over them further in person at a meet up. I’m also willing to go over the details on a phone call or video chat around the meet up, whatever works best for you. If a dog is boarding at my home, they must be good or at least safe to cats.

A typical day

I’m always eager to get to know every pet’s unique personality and create the best possible environment for them! Animals have all kinds of traits and ways to communicate. I try to ensure every animal that I’m a friend, letting them approach at their own pace. Lots of pictures and updates sent your way to ease your mind while parted from your furry friend! Check-ins will be at least once a day, unless more or less is requested by you. My apartment has a fenced-in area with small playground structures for dogs to play and roam around. I take dogs out for the bathroom at least five times a day, for 5-10 minutes a time, to let them do what they need and sniff around. There is a park I enjoy taking dogs called Frazier Place in Charlotte, NC. It’s a fun, safe location for dogs to expend energy. If too far, I do research about surrounding parks and dog friendly locations before starting a job. That way, I can have an idea of what activities I’d like to do with a pet the moment I begin. I will clean cat litters at least once a day, likely two, adjusting to what the client needs. I make sure cats are given attention and playtime as well. Cats may play in different ways than dogs, so I will act off their specific energy level and comments from pet parents.
