I grew up with 2 black labs! Now, I care for my own chocolate lab, Levi. I believe in positive reinforcement -ex: if a dog chews on something he's not allowed to destroy, I take it away and replace it with a bone or toy, showing him what he IS allowed to chew. I also believe in routine and consistency. If your pup has a specific walking route, meal time, favorite toy etc. I want to know! I want he/she to feel as comfortable as possible while they spend time with a stranger. Levi and I wake up every morning between 5:30am and 6:30am and immediately go outside for a morning bathroom break. Because Levi is only a puppy, I am very used to giving my undivided attention to him, and/or whoever I am sitting, all day long. My work schedule is the same everyday. I am a stylist at American Eagle Corporate, which is very convenient because dogs are more than welcome to spend each 9-5 day at the office. I am currently working on crate training my puppy, so most days he stays at home, but if you'd like your dog or puppy to be around people all day (and if he/she is well behaved, of course hehe) they they are more than welcome to join me at work! My home has a small side yard, but it doesn't have much grass. So I like to take walks and visit the Southside dog park. (Only if you feel comfortable with dog parks, of course!) Last but not least - If I am visiting your home, Levi would not join me (unless you'd like your pup to enjoy time with a companion! He IS house trained!) Although, 9 times out of 10, if your pup is visiting my home, Levi would be there as well. He gets along with other dogs and loves all people. I am willing to discuss special circumstances, but generally Levi would be present. I hope your pup and I get to meet !! Please feel free to ask any other question :)
