Pet care experience
Hi my name is Monique!! I'm originally from South Africa and I’ve been surrounded with four-legged friends most of my life (yes we can never get enough of them!) with more than 10 years in dog care experience. My family home included dogs such as high energetic Jack Russel's (Coco and Milo), to big Airedale Terriers (Britney and Elvis), to a loving Golden Retriever named Lucy, and finally a stubborn little Norfolk Terrier named Charlie. However, no matter what size or color - they all have a very special place in my heart! <3 I’m a proud military wife located south of the cities. I’m simply EAGER to come out and meet your dog so we can play and get some exercise! In addition to help satisfy my need for some animal love, before moving out here, I have dedicated some of my free time to help out at my local animal shelter to help out our pets in need. I have experience in anything from countless walks (because I believe exercise is the key to a happy and healthy dog!) to medicating dogs, and just having fun playing with dogs. I even had the pleasure to help my dog with several litters and taking care of her puppies until we found them all new loving homes! During my stay in your home, not only will your pet be treated with the care it deserves, but I will treat your home with respect and like my own, if not more. Please let me know if you need some extra help with watering the plants or collecting mail while you are out of town. I want you to feel totally comfortable leaving your loving pet and home in my care. I LOVE and enjoy the outdoors, and what better way than to enjoy it with man's best friend!! I'm your girl if your dog needs a responsible, mature and reliable person. I will give your pet plenty of TLC, because I have more than enough to give :)

Monique took such great care of our two dogs. She walked them every day and sent us lots of photo updates (which we loved). She is an excellent communicator and I think she left our home cleaner than she found it. We highly recommend Monique!
Monique has come to check in on my dog during the day while I am at work, and also recently stayed at my apartment to watch her for several days. She did an awesome job, and I would highly recommend her! She sent me lots of great updates and photos, and clearly genuinely had a great time with my dog. She was attentive to the instructions I gave around behavioral training while they are on walks (for example, not letting her bark at other dogs). I will definitely booking her again!
Monique did a great job with my dog! My dog does not always do well with people and also does not do well with dogs. But, she loved Monique and Monique was good about listening to how I am training her to behave around other dogs.
I absolutely loved Monique!! She watched my 3 dogs and cat for 6 days. I received daily updates and pictures. She walked them and spent time with them as well as visited 3 times a day so my dogs weren't by theirselves the majority of the time. I appreciate everything she did for us and will most definitely be using her again!

(DON'T WORRY this is a one time only - I keep profiles and notes on each of the dogs I take care of, so you don't need to repeat all this information again on our second visit) The more I'm educated on your dog's needs and routines, the better I'm equipped to make the best decisions for your pet's care. I would like to know of any medical concerns your pet may have, their food schedules and portion sizes, and then finally any aggressions I should be aware of. IMPORTANT: Please indicate your dog's current activity/fitness level, since I enjoy taking relatively long walks (30 - 60min) or sometimes even fast-paced walks and runs to provide a challenge or just to maintain their current fitness routine. Please let me know if you prefer them to be shorter - since you know your dog best! Then finally, let me know about what he/she likes to do most (favorite toy/ball, game,relaxing on the couch, belly rubs) so I can give them the best treatment they deserve during my visit!
A typical day
I understand that every dog that I care for is different, and therefore tailor my care around your dog's personal needs. I would like your dog to be as comfortable with me as possible and therefore stick to his/her regular schedules, routines and training as much as I can for a smooth transition. Generally my activities will consist of extra long walks around the neighbourhood (if you're okay with that of course), not only do our dogs need the exercise but so do I - I'll make it count for both of us! :-) Ideally if there is a hiking park close by that would be awesome. I also enjoy giving some extra cuddles and unlimited play time outside.
