I have been around and had a passion for animals my whole life ! I have a five year old daughter who loves animals just as much as I do. I had a dog since the age of four. I even helped a few of my dogs with birthing their puppies if complications came across. I have also helped one of my close friends take care of a rescue dog with hip dysplasia for a few months. My cousin has a rescue Chihuahua who has grown attached to me within two weeks of knowing her, which took a lot of time to grow her trust back into a human outside of my cousin's home, but it was worth the wait! She is one amazing little dog that I dog sit overnight and grew attached to my daughter as well. Have a lot of experience with "lap dogs".
