I love dogs and have worked with them for over 25 years. I have groomed, walked, trained, fostered and rescued dogs. I have volunteered at the SPCA, cared for service dog puppies and have canine first aid.

Monique was super accommodating and helpful from day one. We had a little meet and greet previous to Stella's stay. She made us feel comfortable leaving our fur baby with her. Your dog with walk, play and enjoy massage and brushing if your dog likes attention. Because there are many dogs here, a meet and greet with your dog is necessary. Please allow enough time to do so prior to booking. I take only one dog at a time or 2 per family.

Information Monique R. would like to know about your pet
I need to know how your dog handles some situations regarding safety and health condition regarding care. Do they bite, know certain commands, can I trust they will return if off leash, are they counter surfers, are they good with kids, other dogs and people, what their prey drive is and if they have destructive behaviours that affect me and their safety like food aggression, excessive anxiety, chewing of things and leashes, escaping etc. I also need your honesty with these. I have no specific breed preference except for size which is now up to 60 pounds (23 kgs). I can adapt to most dogs if I know issues ahead of time. I love dogs. Also I need to know if your pet is allowed on sofa or bed. It is allowed here of course and many like the comfort of sunning themselves in my windows.
A typical day
There are hiking trails nearby and Friday Harbour Trail is not far. If your dog is good on leash, like a car ride and likes walks, we can walk 2-3 times daily. We will fetch balls and work off some energy. I can provide walks to the waterfront and dog beach but I am not a fan of off leash dog parks.

Availability
I am available between Christmas and New Year between Dec 25 at noon till Jan 2 at noon. Your dog will be well cared for and kept busy but in a quieter setting than before Roxy passed. I will take them to parks if they are good with other dogs and you approve. We will keep to a similar schedule that you keep at home. Your pet will still enjoy 2 to 3 walks a day and mingle with residents’ dogs here. There are many and in all shapes, sizes and breed.
