TLC for your Furry BFF
Pet care experience
Hi there, I'm Monica! I grew up in the rural-ish Midwest, surrounded by a number of family pets, including dogs, cats, chickens, horses, goats, ducks, geese, rabbits, and even a potbellied pig named Olivia. My childhood instilled a strong love for all animals that I carry with me today. I currently reside in NE Seattle with my super sweet 7 lb Chihuahua, Peanut. In addition to the pet care experience I've gained taking care of my own dog, I have previously served as a foster home for dog rescues in both Chicago and Seattle. My day job is in Human Resource Management, but I work remotely, so I am around the house and available for pup snuggles, potty breaks, and companionship all day long. :)
Reviews
Monica was amazing!! I loved how professional and organized she was. And she sent the right amount of updates so we didn’t have to worry at all. We were very appreciative of her help.
Took great care of my pup! Thank you Monica
What a great place to leave my dog. Monica and family took such good care of him. I’m very happy, as is my dog. Wouldn’t hesitate to leave him with Monica again!
Monica was fantastic with our dog, Teddy! He had just recently pinched a nerve in his back and she was super attentive and happy to give him his medicine along with giving us daily updates and we’ll be thrilled to have her watch Teddy again!

Safety, trust & environment
I have fully fenced back and front yards, but dogs will never be outside without supervision. I only dogsit for one dog at a time. Due to safety concerns, I do not take the dogs I sit for to dog parks, but if your pup is up for it Peanut and I love to go on long neighborhood walks!

Information Monica R. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know as much as possible about your dog ahead of time so that I can be sure keep him/her safe and comfortable during their stay. I require a meet-and-greet prior to stays w/ new clients to ensure we are a good fit for one another, to discuss all of your expectations, and to make sure that your dog jives with my pup, Peanut. Peanut is very small (~7 lbs), so any doggy visitors MUST be gentle. During the meet-and-greet I have a questionnaire that I would like us to go over together.
A typical day
Doggy visitors are treated like a member of my family while they are under my care. I only sit for one dog at a time not only so that I can give him/her undivided attention, but so that I can more easily craft activities to each individual dog. We can talk more about your dog's individual personality and what type of activities might be best for him/her during our meet-and-greet. What is most important to me is that you are comfortable and your dog is safe and enjoys staying with me!

Availability
I work remotely, so while I'll be taking calls/meetings throughout the workday, I will always be present in the home. I work regular snuggle/potty breaks in throughout the workday. Due to the volume of requests for sitting, I may restrict stays to a 2-night minimum.
