Hi there! We’re Paul and Monica, and we’re thrilled to welcome new furry friends into our home. Monica, an artist and designer, is great with smaller, sedentary dogs, while Paul, a fitness nut, is always looking for companions on his daily multi-mile runs. We both grew up around animals, and have successfully hosted multiple dogs before — from chihuahuas and pomeranians to malamutes and samoyeds. Our 1800 square foot home is located in Eastlake right next to Freeway Park that has an enclosed dog park. If you provide a list of allergies and dietary restrictions, we try to incorporate a visit to one of Capitol Hill’s multiple Mud Bay Treat Supply stores into a new friend’s stay! If you’re looking for an active, attentive couple who can care for both couch potatoes and marathon puppers, give us a shout! I’m currently working from home so your fur babies will never be alone during their visits and they’ll get timely bathroom breaks as well as plenty of space to roam in. We have an unfenced yard for leashed potty breaks and live in a spacious townhome for dogs to roam around in freely. Our neighborhood is quiet with lots of families and right next to a park for long walks.

Allergies and any health concerns are always a must to know when accepting to care for someone else’s dog child. As well as, is the dog socialized? Do they have a certain feeding regime? And what are some big no no’s that they aren’t allowed to do at home that they may try to get away with at their Rover house? We also ask that nails be fairly trimmed before booking date as we have wooden floors we are trying to preserve.
A typical day
During their stay, dogs will get to go on walks at I-5 Colonnade, Volunteer Park, and even all the way to GasWorks Park! For social dogs, we spend about 30 minutes playing them with other dogs in the park, and for the shyer dogs, we engage in play with them through catch and tag. We have a list of dog friendly restaurants and cafes in our area that we frequent once we have a dog in our home that way no one has to be left behind during those weekend brunches!
