Pet care experience
Hi My name is Monica, My husband and I moved to Texas 3 years ago with our senior dogs that are no longer with us due to illness. I worked at a veterinarian hospital for 2 years as customer care coordinator in Arizona. It was a great experience with animals and owners and I learned a lot. I found my passion when I worked for the vet. I decided when we moved to Texas I wanted to pet sit. We have a big fenced in yard and 2 puppies that are very friendly, well behaved and love to play alot! I take care of dogs in our neighborhood on occasion and LOVE THEM!! At my house all animals get LOTS of LOVE, HUGS and ATTENTION!!

Monica was great! I was really anxious leaving my two cats alone for the holidays (especially considering I hadn't left them for almost two years due to COVID) so I was a mess. I looked into Rover and messaged Monica and she quickly responded! She was very reassuring, accomodating, and asked to meet up. I knew after a few mins of meeting her (and her great husband) that I could rest easy in my travels knowing she was here to care for them. No complaints at all, she exceeded expectations. The house was clean, the cats fed and played with, and she sent me a million pictures of both the cats to put me at ease. One of my cats can be a bit grumpy and she had no problems connecting and calming her down. I will def be contacting Monica again!

Monica is very communicative regarding her stays so that no one is the least bit uncertain about what will happen and when. She then generously sends lots of photos of your fur babies while she is on the visit and again communicates when she has left and the status of the pets at that time. I have a 10 month old Border Collie/Aussie Mix and 3 month old Labrador/Border Collie Mix. Our 10 month old is trained and loves everyone after she meets them, the 3 month old we are still figuring out, but she is very sweet. I don't have any preference on breed. I have taken care of 2 Boxers and a Great Dane in our neighborhood. I also watched a small dog while her parents went on a cruise. I would like to meet the owners and their dog first and have them meet our 2 pups. We have a 3 legged ferrel cat that my husband rescued 10 years ago. She has her own room and never comes out and there is a gate to separate that area.
A typical day
I can take your dog on 20 min walks if trained on walking. We have lots of doggie toys and play catch with the ball.
