Pet care experience
We have owned dogs in my family for as long as I've been alive but I took on more responsibility when we adopted a new family dog, Loulu, when I was 13. Now she lives with me in my new apartment and is my full-time pup! I also have been volunteering at the Galveston Island Humane Society for 2 years now.

Monica was great with Sven and Kiara. We found the dogs well rested and happy after the meeting. She is very responsive and accommodating . I would recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter at short notice
Monica is responsible, warm, and a caring person. Klaus took to her immediately and she stayed in my home for almost a week after our first consultation. She was absolutely fantastic. She took notes and did everything we agreed to. The island is small and finding an excellent sitter can be a challenge. Look no further. Monica amazing!!

I have cared mostly for young and senior dogs before, however I am open to caring for any type of dog provided I know what will be expected of me and I'm a fast learner!
A typical day
I love to take dogs for long walks on the beach for some fun exercise and down on the Strand for some fun interaction with people! Dog enrichment is so important, especially for dogs living at the shelter. However, if your dog is more comfortable just hanging out at home on the couch, that works too!

I currently work full-time from 8:30-4:30 but I have a flexible lunch break to see pups during the day in addition to after work! I also have one weekday off every week, it is typically Tuesdays but this is flexible as well.
