I am a stay at home Mom of 4 kids (2 of them have fur). Our 12 year old son has a dream of running a farm filled with dogs. Our 17 year old daughter is a huge help. Most of the guests choose to sleep in her room. She has started an animal rescue club at her high school and has a real passion for loving and being loved by all furry friends. We enjoy making new friends and have a few guests that we are able to see very often. It is wonderful to have them back over and over again. We have a great little fenced in yard and a dog park down the street. We are an active family who enjoys going for walks everyday. Our two furry children are both Cocker mixes that we rescued and are now a part of our family. We can't wait to meet you and the four legged members of your family. About this sitter: I always hope that any guest that leaves our home feels loved. That goes for our Puppy pals too. They will be treated like one of the family. Why I love dog sitting I have always had a dog as part of our family. Growing up we had large dogs. My husband and I raised our first baby from a puppy. She was a tan colored husky that was part of our family for 15 years. Her name was Puppy. We rescued Winnie about 4 months after loosing Puppy. She was almost 2 and had been at more than one shelter in her short life. We could not let her live another day without a family. She loves to sit and cuddle. About a year later I was asked by my sister in law who was fostering dogs to watch Matilda for a couple of hours. Our dear sweet Matilda had been taken from her Momma too early and dropped off at a shelter in Oakland. She does not always know that she is a dog and definitely acts like the baby of the family. We see all dogs as part of a family and they will be treated that way in our home. About my yard We have an average size yard. There is a tall hedge all the way around with a 4 ft. gate. There is grass and trees for shade. We have a spot that was once a garden but, is now more of a big digging spot for our son. My experience administering medication I am comfortable with medication. I have only had to give pills to dogs a couple of times but as far as following a schedule and keeping a routine goes my son had terrible asthma when he was an infant and needed to have his medication provided around the clock.
