My personal experience caring for pets goes back to early childhood- I’ve always had pets under my wing, with a particular love for dogs, large and small. In fact, there has never been a year in my life where I wasn’t taking care of a canine! My experience in animal care continued into my adulthood working as a veterinary assistant at a local animal hospital, where I learned various hand holding techniques, how to dispense medication, treatment of various conditions, and an overall foundation for pet care for all types of animals that would visit/board. The last 10 years were spent taking care of various large dogs for family/friends, in addition to spoiling our amazing Shepherd/Mastiff stallion Kalo, who was truly the dog of all dogs! Weighing over 130lbs most of his life, he taught me not only how to manage owning a giant breed dog, but more importantly how to love unconditionally and selflessly give of myself to prioritize his needs on a daily basis, always ensuring his big heart and loyalty were returned with the best care I could possibly provide him. Throughout my life, caring for pets has fulfilled a life long calling to find companionship and love through furry friends. They have a tendency to teach us more about ourselves and the world around us than we know. I would be honored to be trusted with your loved one!
