Pet care experience
I love all animals, especially dogs, and love to spend my time caring for them and enjoying their company. I enjoy running and walking with pets, as well as just going to the park and playing fetch. I currently have a 3.5 year old Golden Retriever who still acts like a 1 year old puppy, so I'm used to living an active, dog-centered lifestyle. My family also had a golden retriever for 12 years while I was growing up, and caring for/spending time with him was always the highlight of my day. I love taking my dog out for walks and seeing him interact with other animals/humans because he is extremely friendly and loves to greet any new person or animal he sees. In the past few years, family-friends have always reached out to me when they need a pet-sitter, as they know that I am always enthusiastic about working with animals and will take care of them and give them all the attention they need.

I have a large (unfenced) yard with plenty of interesting smells and toys for your dog to play with. There is a long lead set up in the middle of the yard so that your dog can run around and sniff happily without having to worry about them escaping. My own dog Seamus, is also a great playmate and will gladly share all of his toys with your dog :)

A typical day
Mental stimulation and long, fun walks are the key to a happy dog, and I'm more than ready to provide all of that for your dogs. Lots of sniffing and running around in the fields near my house, along with mental games and enrichment toys back at home, will keep your dog happy and tired.

I work full-time in Portland, however my schedule and job are extremely flexible, allowing me to leave during the day for short or long periods of time if necessary.
