I grew up with dogs (boxers, specifically) and I have lived with dogs pretty much my whole life. From my experiences, I truly believe that canines are a woman (and man's) best friend. Although I don't currently have my own dog, I've often become a primary caretaker of housemate's dogs and a reliable caretaker of my friend's dogs when they need someone to step in and take their pup for a walk, run, or provide care over a weekend. I am fairly active and run pretty regularly, which means whichever dog in my household gets to enjoy the outing too. I have also noticed that my favorite activities (running, going to the beach, and getting out on the trails) are always more enjoyable with a furry four-legged buddy!
