"When you're here, you're family"
Pet care experience
As my mom's favorite, Italian eatery once said: "When you're here, you're family." This is an ongoing joke that my roommate of 10+ years, Gabby, and I repeat every time a new animal comes into our home. It's funny to us, but only because it's true. Two hobbies Gabby and I have developed over the years are rescuing stray/loose pets in our neighborhood (that's a hobby, right?), and pet sitting. We know it's not financially sustainable for us to adopt every rescued animal that comes our way, so we've found that pet sitting (especially boarding in our home) is a great fit for us. I'm the primary caretaker and point of contact in our home, but I feel that it's important to mention Gabby in this blurb, because we really work as a team to care for and give affection to the four-legged guests in our home. I'm a social worker by training, and primarily work with teens and young adults during the day. I'm fortunate to have a job near my home that provides me flexibility to regularly check in on my pets and any visitors. Gabby is a student, so our animals never have to be home alone for long stretches of time. I've been fortunate to have dogs and cats of all types and sizes, as well as smaller pets. If I had to pick a team, though, it'd be team big-dogs. Gabby loves small dogs, and especially loves snarky/senior chihuahuas. I didn't understand this for the longest time, but now see the error of my ways. I personally have 2 dogs (one Great Pyrenees mix, one pug) and 1 dog-like cat, who are all rescues. While the pug is more people-oriented, the other two love company and playing with others. I do need to make sure that any pets brought into our home will not put my own pets at risk. I prefer boarding animals in our home, but can also stay for short periods of time in others' homes. Either way, I automatically assume I'll be walking your pets during the stay (included in charge). I'm a non-smoker, vegan, and very tidy. And even though Gabby and the animals aren't vegan, I've decided I'll keep them.
Reviews
Molly provides an excellent environment for your little four legged family members. I would not hesitate to ask her to host my Izzy again. The communication was great and Izzy came home happy as can be. You can tell Molly loves animals and your pet would be fortunate to spend time in her home.
Molly watched my dogs, Carob and Abby, for a week while I was out of town. She was the most personable and reliable dogsitter I've had – her love for animals is apparent, she's always on time, and consistently sends updates, which I love.
Molly has pet sat my senior beagle, Sally, for the past two years. She is absolutely wonderful with dogs. Sally always loves staying with Molly in her clean, dog-friendly home. She has a large fenced backyard and two sweet pups and a cat of her own that get along well with Sally. Molly always sends lots of photo updates during longer stays and takes Sally to the dog park and the bay, both close to her home. Thanks, Molly! We love you!
I don't think I've met anyone that loves dogs as much as Molly. She cares for large and small animals with nothing but enthusiasm while balancing their needs and their happiness. If you want a caregiver that won't only meet the needs of your pet but make them very happy despite your absence, go with Molly.

Information Molly S. would like to know about your pet
I'd like to know if they are alright around cats and smaller dogs, and if they have any aggressive tendencies (e.g., food or leash aggression). Are there specific things your dog does not like (e.g., touching their feet)? Or any quirks I should be aware of. How do you think I can make your pup the most comfortable while you're away?
A typical day
If your dog(s) is staying with me, they'll likely enjoy walking to the nearby Watertower Park, or to the New College Campus, or any other area where we can see the bay (especially during sunset), running around the backyard (it is entirely fenced, but not 6 ft. high all the way around if yours is a jumper), romping with the other animals at the house, and cuddling up while my roommate and I watch movies or read (if they want to, that is). If I'm coming to them, I suppose it mostly depends on what your pup is into. I always love a game of fetch, a walk or jog, or some bonding time while brushing them ("Furminating"is addictive!).
