I've been working in veterinary medicine as a vet assistant / receptionist for 12+ years, and have been volunteering at animal shelters for most of my adult life as well. I know a bit about training and behavior quirks, and have trained my own dogs. I help with behavior modification at Multnomah County Animal Services and foster medically critical dogs. I work part time (at a vet clinic) and am home often. Animals are my life, passion and hobby. My partner and I have 1 small dog 12 pounds, loves to play), and 2 med/large dogs /91 senior and one middle ages) as well as 2 cats. I'm mainly hoping to help out in a pinch. I usually have foster cats (kept separate) and sometimes a foster dog- if you're looking to add to your family I'd love to help you find a rescue match.

I have watched Molly tend to many litters of foster kittens and puppies, and her own crew of critters. I can attest to the love and care she provides to each one--even the high need animals that require special care such as medications or around the clock feedings. I do not hesitate to call on Molly to watch my pets in my absence, because she gives me peace of mind that everyone will be not only well fed, but also given affection while I'm gone.
Molly is easily the best pet sitter EVER. Not only is she super reliable and friendly but her way with animals is amazing. Seriously, all animals instantly love this woman. Simply the best.

I'd like to know breed, age, length of time you've had the pet, and behavior issues. I have no breed preferences- I believe each dog should be evaluated individually, although my senior dog seems to dislike huskies. She can be separated upstairs though if I need to. I have no interest in working with intact animals if they're over the age of 6 months due to my line of work and 1st hand experience of pet over-population.
A typical day
There are really cool, grassy alley ways that we love to walk. There's also a park in walking distance. I have a porch swing on the front porch that we spend a fair amount of time sitting in watching people and squirrels. My backyard is fully fenced (even for small dogs) and is quiet and secluded. We also spend a lot of time out back.
