Empathic, engaging, and energetic

Pet care experience

Aside from being a Certified Dog Trainer and Certified Pet First Aid & CPR professional, I am an experienced pet care-giver, having cared for all variety of critters my entire life, and I am naturally empathic with animals. I am a pet-parent to a dog, a cat, and a canary, but have also looked after a variety of breeds of birds, horses, fish, rodents, and even rescued wild animals. I'm positive, calm, and very knowledgeable about animals, and I can sense and ease a pet's nervousness and tension but also keep up with higher-energy pets. My focus as a Dog Trainer is a positive-only provider, as well as species-specific behavioral analysis to ensure a positive relationship. I'm happy to look after any type of pet, including birds, reptiles, rodents, etc., and will ensure a solid knowledge base prior to pet sitting any pet that is new to me. For drop-in visits and stay-overs, I'm also happy to set up a pre-visit, if preferred by pet parents. I look forward to meeting you and your pet family!

Molly has a huge heart and a wonderful instinct for animals. I have never seen a dog (or a cat, a bird....even a fish) that she cannot charm in under ten minutes. On the more practical side, she is incredibly punctual, responsible, and organized. She will always turn up when she is expected, and she will put 150% into the job. She's a gem!

Molly is absolutely wonderful! She has such a natural way with animals, and they all love her. I have a puppy who is very skittish around new people. Normally, she won’t go anywhere near someone she has never met before, and will bark and act very alarmed. But when Molly met my puppy, she got down on her level and spoke calmly and gently, and literally within seconds my puppy was in her lap squirming and giving her kisses! Molly also has several of her own pets, and they are seriously some of the most-loved pets I have ever met. Her dog and cat were both rescued from bad situations, and the work she has done to help them with their anxiety and to make sure they feel safe and loved is astonishing. I can’t recommend Molly highly enough!

Molly is both incredibly responsible and excellent at caring for dogs. Her devotion to caring for her own dog is always evident, and she provides the same attention to all the animals she cares for. I have known Molly for over a decade, and she has always been diligent and conscientious in both her work and taking care of her pets. She will be a wonderful dog sitter.

Molly is a dedicated animal lover and a serious professional woman who takes her responsibility to animals as seriously as she takes the care she gives her animals.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a diverse small family of animals, each with very different, species-specific needs, ranging from nutrition, exercise, mental and emotional stimulation, play time, and overall prevention of fearful circumstances. Whenever I meet a new animal under my care, I give them plenty of time to adjust to a new person in their world, and make sure that I pay close attention to how they are reacting, and alter my interactions based upon how the animal feels.

Information Molly N. would like to know about your pet

I am happy to try and set up an introduction for drop-in visits or stay-overs, but it's not necessary, as I am very comfortable around all animals. I am always appreciative when pet parents are honest and forthcoming about any behavior quirks that their pets might have, because I am entirely non-judgemental, specifically trained in animal behavior, and understand the root causes of any underlying behavioral issues.

A typical day

I am happy to customize a walk for a dog, whether they be higher energy and prefer walking on trials or speed walking around the neighborhood, or if they need to take it slower. I am very conscious to always bring extra water and treats (if allowed by the pet parent), as well as extra bags and a spare leash. Full attention is paid to how pups are doing in warm weather, and of course the basic things like making sure that interactions with other dogs are safe and positive with be a given. Depending on what the dog finds to be fun, as the pet parent will explain, I am happy to let a dog use their walk as a critically-important "sniff adventure", or head over to the local dog park so they can hang out with their friends. If a game of tug is in order, I am happy to oblige, similar to if tossing a favorite toy around will make the dog's day.

Availability

I am currently working full-time with a veterinary clinic, and thus my hours of availability would be evenings, and any time during the two days I am not at the clinic. I am happy to discuss the best way to merge our mutually busy schedules. I currently chose to live without a car, thus my current range involves any area within the White River Junction, West Lebanon, and Lebanon range. Please let me know your specific location when you reach out, so that we can both be sure that I can access your location (I am an avid long-distance walker, thus long commutes via public transit and on foot are welcome).
