Pet care experience
Long time pet owner, lover and foster. I have volunteered with shelters and rescues in Orange County (where I'm from originally) and here in Oakland. We always had dogs growing up -- terriers and labs were the norm but I had a fluffy mutt (Matix, pictured) I called my own until we had to put him down last year. I am not ready to adopt again yet but I would love to watch pups while their parents are away. Through fostering and volunteering with shelters and rescues, I have experience with a plethora of breeds and temperaments and can scale up or down for the needs of the dog. I am happy to continue any training you are currently working on and mimic your structure so your dog has consistency while in my care. I have a special place in my heart for senior dogs and those with medical needs -- Matix had CHF and I have fospiced in Orange County. Administering meds, special diets or physical therapy are all things I am very familiar with.

Molly was fantastic with our new puppy. We were super nervous to leave our new puppy even for a few days, but she made us feel comfortable. She was super responsive and very natural and kind with all of our animals! Highly recommend her!

I currently live in an apartment so no yard but we are walking distance to the rose garden, lake and local parks. While in my care, dogs are welcome to make themselves at home -- I can crate or not and will keep up with whatever you are working on in your home (no jumping, sit, stay, place, etc). Working with fosters has led me to err on the side of caution while on walks so I use the time to bond with the dog, let them explore and get all the sniffs in and generally try to stay away from places that would be overwhelming or stressful. Read: dog parks are a hard pass for me.

I would love to hear what a typical day in the life looks like for you two. I'm big on maintaining routines and structure so I will do my best to mimic your current set up. If there is something you are training or a philosophy you follow, please let me know and I will make sure it is replicated in my home. Any quirks or cautions you have noticed are also greatly appreciated!
A typical day
I am a quick drive to the Oakland Redwoods and am an avid runner so if you have a dog that has high energy needs, we can make sure those are met. I also have puppy puzzles, snuffle mats and other mental stimulation tools for a well rounded day.

Availability
I am currently working in-office so I will limit my schedule to weekends for the time being but I am fully available while boarding. Weekends are pretty lazy for me, minus the weekly grocery trip and a couple runs around the neighborhood. Every dog is different but again, happy to work with the schedule you currently have or one that best suits the dog -- be it a long hike in the redwoods or a lazy day in the sun.
