Pet care experience
I'm a freelance journalist (I report on culture and the New York metro area for newspapers and magazines) who works from home, sets my own hours, and loves fluffy companionship during the day. I am very down for snuggles, but I'm also a marathon runner who's happy to walk your dog until they are good and ready for naptime. I grew up with dogs in New Jersey, and my live-in boyfriend (he's a software engineer who works in an office) and I have a sweet, easygoing chihuahua mix named Debbie. Our ideal evening is spent snoozing on the couch in front of Netflix. I'm a clear communicator (it's my job!) and always accessible—happy to share as many real-time pupdates and pics as you would like!

Molly is a wonderful dog sitter! She's watched my dog, Mochi ( a shiba inu) multiple times. I was studying abroad in London last semester, so my parents mostly took care of Mochi, but for the days when my parents weren't available, we would have Molly take care of Mochi. Molly is always great about giving updates while we are gone. She even texted me pictures of Mochi when I was abroad. It was so nice to see! So glad and comforting to know that my dog is in good hands when I'm busy or away. Thanks for taking great care of my dog! Molly is our family's go to dog-sitter and we highly recommend her for anyone looking for someone to show your dog some love.

A typical day
For immediate pee-pee stops, I live right around the corner from Court Square Park. Gantry State Park on the Long Island City waterfront is great—there are a number of dog runs in the immediate area for pups who are so inclined. For further expeditions, we might explore the many varied smells of Roosevelt Island.
