I love the companionship of having a furry best friend. I grew up in a home with cats. I currently have one dog and two cats. I know some dogs can be shy, but I’m patient because building trust with your pet is important. Getting to stay comfy in their own home while you’re away will make them feel more secure while getting the care they need. I’m like the fun aunt that comes to visit but doesn’t spoil the baby too much ;) I have a Westie and I’ve worked to teach him so many cute tricks to build a strong bond with him. (He can sit, lay, dance, shake right and left, high five right and left, spin...we’re working on more.) Prior to that, my now husband had a 13yr old Westie and she was a great companion. She taught me allll about Westie-tude and we had some great years together before she passed. I often dog sit for my in-laws small breed terriers and I love how lively they are!
