My house or yours? I’ve got you!

Pet care experience

I live alone in my 3 bedroom house, and watching dogs is much more fun than having a roommate to help pay my mortgage. I’ve taken care of my own family dogs, my partner’s dog Bear (the golden-chow mix in my photos) as well as exotic pets and cats over the years. I have been housesitting on the side since I was a teen, and I can work with you and your pet to determine if a stay at my house or a stay at your home will be better for you and your dog. As a house guest, you can expect that I will always try and leave your place cleaner than I found it, so all you have to do is relax when you get home:) I love all animals, and studied zoology in college. I have a knack for training with positive reinforcement as well, and I do it for fun! If your dog stays with me, and I have your permission to work on some training, they may learn a new trick:). I also used to work as a dog grooming apprentice, so I am comfortable bathing your pup if they get to dirty running around the backyard. Expect your pets to be spoiled 24/7 with me, and monitored closely. I have experience with dogs with anxiety, and reactive dogs as well as dogs with health issues. People often report that they’re surprised how relaxed their anxious/reactive dogs are with me right away. Sometimes, I truly have a hard time sending them home. I’ve even had one occasion where the dog didn’t want to go home when mom and dad returned (awkward! 😂). But don’t worry, I will (reluctantly) give them back at the end of their stay, and I know they’ll be excited for their next visit with me :)

We cannot say enough amazing things about Molly! She went above and beyond for our pup and really treated him like he was her own. She stayed in our house and was so attentive to him and kept us posted with pictures and updates the entire time. We definitely recommend Molly!

Molly is an amazing sitter for our dog. She has watched our dog several times, and we’ve never had an issue. She cares for our dog, spends quality time with him, and keeps us updated with pictures & videos.

Molly is great and our nervous pup Reese loves her! She is wonderful at communicating with updates and photos and goes above and beyond to leave our house clean when she leaves. Can’t recommend her enough!

I have a fenced in backyard and like to join the dogs outside for potty breaks every time, to make sure they’re peeing and pooping okay and watch for signs of anxiety or illness (or eating bees, as my favorite client Maya loves to do😅). I take time to get to know your dog’s behavior so I can let you know if anything at all seems off during their stay. For my own pets I’ve owned in the past, I have done mealtime twice a day around the same time each day, with several potty breaks/a daily walk. I love to snuggle with my fur babies so I hope you’re okay with dogs in the bed or on the couch! If I have to step out for an errand, I put “Dog TV” on YouTube for the dogs, make sure they have a night light on if I’m stepping out after dark, and make sure to doggy proof the space before leaving by putting away any people food or potentially hazardous things a dog might chew on. For my boarding guests, I have a guest bedroom with a queen size memory foam bed, and I like to open the blinds on the windows so the dogs can chill on that bed, chew on their toys and watch the squirrels in the backyard while the sun from the window makes a perfect warm spot on the bed. I call it the doggy executive suite:) but the dogs will have access to the rest of the house as well, of course! I also make an inventory list of all items dropped off at my house so you can rest assured all your pets’ toys and belongings will return to you when you pick them up (although I am not responsible for any toys that are destroyed 😂🐶). I am open to however my clients would like me to provide care, if they have any special requests. I also love to go to the park in the warmer months, so if your dog does well in the car I would love to bring them along! Just know that I am 31 with no kids, so I take pride in placing all of my maternal instinct into pets instead 🥰

Information Molly B. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or has a history of separation anxiety or any sort of reactivity. I’d like to know if your dog has been boarded before, or if you’ve had a house sitter before, and how all of that went. I’d also like to know if there are any specific treats you aren’t okay with feeding or if your dog has any allergies/restrictions!

A typical day

I’ll take your dog out to my backyard for lots of playtime! My neighborhood is also walkable, and if your dog is people/dog-friendly we can even go visit Oakland Nursery down the street so they can smell all the flowers! The coffee shop around the corner is also dog-friendly. If I’m housesitting for you, I’d love to know your dogs favorite places to visit, if they enjoy walks, dog parks, puppaccinos from Starbucks, etc.:)
