I’m a 22 year old student with a love for nature and long walks with dogs. At home in Devon, I have a 2 and a half year old working cocker spaniel called Charlie (pictured). We spend hours playing with balls, sticks, blankets, and whatever we can find in the house when I’m home, and he’s always so excited to see me when I’m back. I lived on a terrace with lots of other lovely dogs who used to walk with us, so I’m very used to the high energy of young spaniels as well as older dogs, rescue dogs, and small dogs. I taught Charlie how to swim and a few new commands to expand his vocabulary, and we also often play games for mental stimulation, like placing a ball in one of two baskets, turning them both upside down and swapping places and asking him to guess: he usually gets it right! With your dog, I will adapt my dogsitting style to your dogs temperament and needs. I am gentle but firm, very playful, outdoorsy, and responsible. I can help you teach your dog to swim and train them to heel if needed. My house in Withington has a good sized gated garden that would be suitable for dogs to run around in after a long walk while they’re waiting for their dinner, while the inside is warm and cosy with plenty of beanbags and soft spaces for your dog to relax after a walk or even sleep over. The household is made up of other students who are all dog friendly and responsible.
