I am lover of all types of animals and I am thrilled to get to work with pets! I have worked as a pet sitter for my neighbors and friends since I was 13. The plethora of animals I have had under my care include dogs, cats, guinea pigs, chickens, snakes, and horses. I myself have owned dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. I am experienced with puppies, kittens, elderly cats and dogs, high energy breeds, and pets with chronic illnesses. I give basic training for dogs for commands such as "sit," "lay down," "stay," and "leave-it." I also like to train and reinforce good habits during walks using treats and redirection, especially for dogs who have a habit of lunging or pulling. I am confident walking dogs up to 70 lbs, and larger only if properly leash trained. I can administer topical and oral medication to cats and dogs, as I myself have a spicy, chronically ill elderly cat who rather unwillingly must take a pill every day.

I do require a meet and greet before service for dogs. This is mostly to ensure your dog and I get along. This also familiarizes your dog with me, so they will be more relaxed when I enter your home alone. Meet and greets for cats are optional but highly encouraged. I take this time to take note on what kind of care your pet needs, including the usual walking and feeding times to minimize distress for your pet. I will need to know of any allergies, and of any medications that will need to be administered. During each drop in, I will send an update with a cute photo of your pet and a brief description of your pet's behavior, eating and bathroom habits, and anything else I noticed about it.

Please let me know if your dog is reactive to other dogs or cats, has a habit of lunging and pulling, or is prone to biting. I am not comfortable handling highly aggressive dogs. Let me know about any allergies your dog has. I use treats that have few ingredients, usually just freeze-dried chicken, but let me know if you prefer to supply your own treats. I have experience injecting insulin for diabetic pets. Please let me know ahead of time if your pet requires injectable medicine. Depending on the type and routine, I may or may not be able to administer it. I am willing to take care of exotic pets, such as guinea pigs! Please reach out and we will discuss pricing, as it varies depending on the type of pet.
A typical day
I love to go on long walks with energetic dogs and enjoy the fresh air together. For dogs who are a little older or less springy, I enjoy going on short leisurely walks and giving lots of pets afterwards. I then spend the rest of the time petting, cuddling, or simply relaxing near your pet; depending on what they prefer! I enjoy taking fun and goofy photos of your pets, and will send a couple per day.

Availability
I am a full time college student and I work as a part time math tutor. During a housesit, I aim to be at the house from 7pm-9am. During the daytime, I will return to do 1-2 potty breaks, depending on your pets needs. I aim to leave the house no more than 5-6 hours at a time. My schedule varies greatly, and I am generally less busy with school Friday-Sunday. My base rate for housesitting is $50 for dogs and $30 for cats, with additional charges for multiple pets, puppies, and holidays. For drop ins, please give a time frame of when you would like to arrive. I may need to come by either up to an hour before or after your desired time. I will specify times of drop ins before confirming a booking. Drop ins are $18 for dogs and $16 for cats, with additional charges for multiple pets, puppies, and holidays. Many senior pets, puppies, or pets with special needs require more attention and need frequent potty breaks. For pets with these needs, I offer "Constant Care". Constant Care means that your pet will be under near constant supervision; I leave no more than 1-2 hours at a time and stay at the house essentially full time. This way, I can give your pet frequent potty breaks, administer medications, and give them extra cuddles! Due to the nature of the service, I charge $150 per day per pet who requires it and I need prior notice of at least a week in order to accommodate it in my schedule.
