I have owned and loved animals for over 25 years, and anyone who knows or has known me will attest to that. I love all animals, from dogs, cats, and horses to birds and cute little caged critters. I’ll care for just about any animal. It would be an honor for me if you’d put your trust in me to care for your furrbabies, in your absence. Caring for animals has always been my passion and I will care for yours babies just as I would my own. Giving them a safe and happy environment brings a sense of satisfaction and joy. While in my care your pet will receive the same love and dedication as they would receive at home. I’m flexible and knowledgeable. I’m also able to offer training services while your pet is in my home or out on walks. I have experience fostering dogs and cats. and caring for stray cats. I will use my skills and knowledge to properly care for and love your pet as my own and ensure they are cared for in the highest regard. This is not just a job to me, but a passion. I hope to be able to share my passion with your family and pets. When possible, I like to do a meet and greet with possible clients to meet your pet, get additional information, and address any concerns you may have. I find this is a great way to get to know one another and your furrbaby. To ensure safety for my personals and my clients furrbabies, I ask that all pups and kitties are up to date on all vaccines and on flea prevention.

Melissa is great with all animals! I left my dog with her for about 2 weeks and she took great care of my dog and made sure he felt comfortable with her and other animals! I knew leaving my dog with her he would be taken care of! I would definitely use her again next time I go out of town!

I have a fenced yard, a side-yard dog run, with separate entrances to ensure safety of all furrguests. I also have an extra tall baby gate that splits my kitchen from living room so I can keep pets separated if needed. I also have several indoor kennels which are used with the guidance of owners, again when needed. I use these various options to ensure the safety of all animals, my own and those of clients. This set up also allows me to safely shuffle furrbabies around without them having to be in the same areas (if need-be). This is a case-by-case basis and would be discussed with the owner ahead of time and depend strictly on your pets’ needs. Safety for all animals is of most importance to me, as I know it is for you. I do not leave anyone’s dog outside for any extended periods of time unless you say otherwise. We will go out to potty and play. I also have a spare room to house my cats if I dog-sit for a pet who does not like or is not used to cats. This is to ensure the safety of my own personal cats while I pet sit. If I’m coming to your home, I will follow your directions to the letter.

Availability
With pets of my own, we are very scheduled around here from medicine, feedings, watering, playtime, and bedtime. I sometimes find that pets also need to be let out at night and plan accordingly. Meals will be fed per your request and amount (please bring your own food). Pet care will look a little different depending on the pet. Therefore, any specific needs or inquiries will be discussed and arranged.
