Pet care experience
As a lifelong animal lover and dog owner, I have been taken care of animals since I was very young. My first memory is helping my dad feed our golden retriever, puppy, at age 3. Since then, there has never been a time where we have not had dogs. I am very familiar with taking care of dogs, having been relied on to walk, Feed, and bathe family and friends pets. I am also comfortable with taking care of feline friends as well!

I have had experience caring for a few singer dogs, in addition to experiences of fostering two litters of seven puppies within the past year. From one of those litters, I have two 3-month-old puppies of my own, Rocky and Adrian, who I am working on training. From training them, I am very familiar with gentle guidance and redirection of canine behaviors, crate training, and maintaining active, adaptable schedules.

For dogs that I am caring for, I would like to know about their temperament, needs, behaviors, and any signs I should look out for that are unique if they are distressed or worried. If your dog has a routine or preference in activities such as receiving medication‘s, introductions, or bedtime, feel free to let me know about those as well. I can’t wait to meet your four-legged friends and family!
A typical day
I usually take dogs on walks, playing games with them such as fetch or frisbee, and enjoy teaching them cues or tricks when caring for them. For my own dogs, and downtime, I have several toys that function like puzzles to keep them intellectually stimulated and busy when I have to do household chores or catch up on my work for graduate school.

MJ can watch in your home
Availability
For summer work, I am available for short and extended dog or pet sitting stays and will be happy to work with you during those times. I am most responsive to requests in the afternoon, so you should hear from me during those times. For dog walking or drop-in visits, Unless otherwise discussed with the family or owner of the pet, I am best available in the afternoon’s after 12 PM - 5 PM. As a graduate student, I am taking a pet sitting for some additional income for the summer months to put towards my tuition. I have one planned vacation from August 7 through August 15, and will be unavailable those dates. I also have an additional trip that I plan to take with family during this summer for a week, though those dates are forthcoming. I am available for short or extended housesitting and dog sitting services, and can arrange for care of my two puppies if you feel uncomfortable having them in your home.
