I've had dogs in my life since as far back as I can remember. Being realistic and having the ability to really know how to care for an animal would probably be starting around 7 years old. I connect with animals on another level. I've always been drawn to animals particularly dogs. I just understand them. As my headline reads I've had over 25 dogs in my lifetime with 4 of them still walking this Earth with my mother and my sister. I've cared for dogs less than 3 lbs to 120 lbs. I've had crazy Chihuahuas to gentle misunderstood Rottweilers. I signed up for Rover in 2010 because I wanted to just be around animals at 18 I thought It'd be cool to just get paid to hang out with dogs all day. Life had other plans and I never got around to trying it out. On April 18th 2023, a month and nine days after my best friend, my son, and my whole world turned 13. He had X-rays, ultrasounds, and echo tests performed the 17th-18th of April. I came to find out the love of my life had systolic cardiomyopathy, right side heart failure, cancerous tumors on the base of his heart and right adrenal glad causing abdominal fluid, and seizures. My English Bulldog named Ziggy was put to rest after an intense month of grand mal seizures, vet appointments and complete restlessness. My soul was obliterated, my hearts mangled and my happiness demolished. I've been getting better from grieving and now have a huge hole in my soul with so much love to give to others, especially animals. I don't know how long I'll be apart of Rover but, I'd love to just love on some dogs of all ages, especially the seniors. My favorite years of his life were definitely his last three. Filled with so much laughter love and happiness. Getting to care for him, with medications, massages, and everything that comes with having an old dog, will always be my favorite memories. I'd love to be given an opportunity to meet your family members, that other humans call pets. I would be very grateful to love on them during my drop-ins and walks. Give them fresh water, throw the ball, brush their coat, hand feed them if need be, and stare into their eyes as I tell them they are a good dog. All I have is love, and from someone who has experienced life always having animals within arms reach; you'd be doing me a huge service allowing me to continue having these interactions. My home is only a house now without my boy here, it's quiet, there are no snores, barks, being licked like crazy or cuddles anymore, and for me I need that.
