Experienced dog-adoring couple

Pet care experience

Lot's of experience! Jess has worked in animal welfare for over 7 years which includes a large Animal Shelter and in Animal Hospitals. We are skilled in training, dog body language, behaviours, social cues, safety and animal first aid. Very comfortable with mini to large breed dogs. We've lived with dogs through our entire lives and love all of them! We love to treat them as equals but also can set fair boundaries and ground rules. We adore dogs but are just not in a place to have one of our own yet. So we are eager and happy to help out!

Jess was so good to our little anxious girl! Birdy had the best time, and she came home in an excellent mood! Truly a golden experience, we will be using Jess again in the future 😁

My pup had a great day at daycare with Mitch and Jessica. He came home tired and slept great. Mitch and Jessica sent picture updates throughout the day and were both great. I would definitely recommend them and will be bringing my pup back in the future!

Felt super comfortable leaving Des here! Super kind and sent lots of photos and updates to let us know Des was doing fine. He looked like he was having a blast. Would 100% book again, thanks so much!

Safety, trust & environment

We live in a large house with a fenced deck and unfenced yard that borders a forest. It's very well set up for dogs of all shapes and sizes and will always keep the space secure. We want your loved one to feel right at home with us but will also uphold any rules and guidelines you lay out. We love in-bed snuggles and nose kisses! Your pup will be treated like part of the family, with full respect and equality. It's also worth noting that both of us only practice positive reinforcement training and correction. This means you dog will never (EVER) be struck, yelled at or "dominated".

Home

Lives in a house
Has an unfenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has no pets
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Information Mitch & Jessica L. would like to know about your pet

I'd want to find out what the dog is accustomed to in terms of exercise, attention or independence to ensure the dog's stay in a new and unfamiliar place is as disruptive as possible.

A typical day

We live at the foot of a forest and bike trails. I love taking breaks from my remote job to walk amongst the trees and streams, listen to podcasts and enjoy nature. If I have time for longer walks I like to hike around the Lake and up one of the many surrounding trails!
