I’ve taken care of pets in my family home since the age of 16 and have also adopted a cat of my own (who unfortunately stays out of town). I have experience taking care of cats and dogs and am able to administer simple medications too. I miss taking care of my cat and during my studies would love to be able to take care of other animals whilst I’m separated from my own cat!

She was very kind and was gentle with Teddy. Always sent pictures and I knew how Teddy was doing. And the day after Teddy was actually very happy and energetic. I’m definitely gonna leave Teddy with her again!

I can welcome animals in my home or take care of them in their own home. I am also available to take dogs for walks during the day. I have no other animals currently in my home so there is no need to worry about problems with other animals!

Please let me know if your dog doesn’t get on well with other dogs in the street or in the park, if I should be aware of any resource guarding behaviour or any behavioural issues in general. I am happy to take care of high energy dogs and provide them with the amount of exercise necessary (but please be honest about their needs!)
A typical day
I wake up very early, around 6am and usually take dogs out for a walk or run (depending on their energy levels, needs, health) or to the dog park and play for anywhere between 30 minutes to 2 hours. Then I take them home, provide them with their first meal and more often than not keep them with me for the remainder of the day. For older dogs I can take them downstairs to pee at least 3-4 times a day and I usually take all dogs for a 30-45 minute walk in the evening. I am happy to take dogs that are fine in social settings with me to the park, to cafes, to friends’ homes…

Availability
I am a medical student and I have class in the morning around 8am. I have flexible hours and can be at home with your pet for a large chunk of the day other than the hours I am in class. I am an early riser so I can take dogs out for a walk even before going to class and then when I’m back!
