Pet care experience
Hello there! I've grown up with dogs all my life. More recently I loved and cared for my "pup" for 12 years until she passed in May (2023). Throughout that time, I often did pet sitting (and plant-, house-, or babysitting) for neighbors, coworkers, friends, and family. This experience has created a wonderful family and community for me.

Mirna is my go-to for watching my girl, Phoebe. I adopted Phoebe after she lived a long life breeding many puppies, so Phoebe is a dog who needs personal attention and a lot of love. She loves to be the center of attention as a Mastiff at 94 lbs, and Mirna goes ABOVE and beyond in loving Phoebe. I even text her for advice as I navigate taking care of Phoebe. I can’t say enough good things about her care, and Mirna has made my travel requirements (personal and professional) so achievable. I am beyond grateful.
Mirna watched my greyhound Ellie for a few days and I can’t recommend her enough. She is very caring and made my dog feel very comfortable. I gave her a long list of instructions to follow and everything went great. She has a big fenced in yard for dogs to run around in too. I felt very good about leaving my fur baby with Mirna and will do it again the next time I need a pet sitter. She’s the best!
Really fantastic! Went above and beyond taking care of my 2 cats over the Christmas break (2 weeks total). Daily updates and photos, and was sure to let me know of any issues

I live in a friendly, walkable neighborhood. I have a fenced-in yard, a nice deck where your pup can overlook the neighborhood, and a doggy door to allow going out/inside as needed. A large comfy doggy bed is available to lounge around or we can use your own. Pups are allowed on furniture, but they would not be allowed to sleep with me. If crating is preferred by client, I'm happy to accommodate that, too. No children or other pets live in my home, so your companion would have my dedicated time. Hablo español.

A typical day
Depending on your comfort level and your dog's ability, I can provide walks, hikes, runs, play fetch, and could provide puzzle toys. I would be mindful of when your pet has a treat and not leave them unattended. We are early birds, waking up at 4a and sleep in by 8p, due to our gym + work schedules. I have experience with reactive dogs and reading their body language.

I work from my home full time and can provide company to your pup (young or senior). My home is a quaint little spot in the heart of Coralville. I enjoy going for walks and I'd love to bring your dog along!
