Hi there! I am an experienced caregiver in the Columbia area and beyond. I've served over 150 amazing pet owners during my 5 years with Rover. I love caring for ALL animals, there is no limit to the pet care services I will provide. I always have my cell phone handy in case owners contact me with questions, concerns, or any special instructions. I love sending pictures of pets and informative updates to owners while they're away. My schedule is flexible. I live a very active, creative lifestyle. I've fostered a wide variety of pets and wild creatures. I have a daughter who's being raised into my world of nature and animals, I prefer bookings where she is welcome to join me. I have worked with senior and special needs pets before. I have human + canine CPR experience, and oral + injected medicine experience. I strongly advise making time for a meet & greet before booking- this is mostly for the comfort of your pet, but also to make sure instructions and expectations are totally clear. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT MIRIJAM!!!! We were out of town at our wedding for a week, and have quite a few pets with quite a few schedules/needs. I was in tears leaving my babies for the first time with someone other than family. I had been anxious and worried leading up to the trip and within the first few minutes of being gone, Mirijam had already checked in and updated me immediately calming all worries. She did this everyday through our trip with texts and photos. We even had the hurricane come in while she was there and she was a total pro, updating us every step of the way! She was SO kind and reassuring, followed every step to a T, and went above and beyond to take care of our babies. I would recommend her to ANYONE and EVERYONE who has a fur baby they love. She is AMAZING, we will be using her indefinitely!! THANK YOU SO MUCH MIRIJAM!!
Mirijam was absolutely incredible! This was my first time using Rover, and it was for a super last minute family emergency. She was able to come immediately, and watch the dogs for a few days. They loved having her there! Peace of mind knowing that the pups were home and happy vs. boarding helped my stress levels while away. Not to mention, my house was even cleaner when arriving home vs. when I left in a hurry. SOOOO thankful to have found a dog/house sitter!
Mirijam was wonderful with our two big dogs. She walked them to the park and sent daily updates with pictures. The dogs were very happy when we returned after a week. In the past one has not eaten well when we were gone, but that was not the case this time. The house was very clean and had even been vacuumed when we got back. I will definitely use her again.
Mirijam absolutely amazing!! I was super nervous about hiring a dog walked because my sweet pup gets very nervous i around new people. But she took her time and he really warmed up to her very quickly. She’s always sends updates and sweet pictures too!!

A typical day
Walks usually last about 30 minutes and often take place outside of the home in an area your pet is familiar with. I always offer free walks included with drop-in visits and in-home sitting. If you have a pet that prefers to play with toys or a game of fetch, I love working that into our visits/walks too.
